The French House Party is listed Top Retreat in the National Geographic book, “The 100 Best Worldwide Vacations to Enrich Your Life” written by the prestigious American travel writer Pam Grout.
Discover challenging and innovative ideas. Brush up your artwork with Creative Art and Mixed Media or join one of our stunning textile art workshop weeks - the first of its kind in Europe. We welcome beginners or those who want to re-awaken their artistic instincts. We also cater for the advanced artist who may not require tuition. The aim is to encourage, stimulate and inspire in a relaxed atmosphere. Here in one of the most beautiful regions of Southern France, our specialist tutor is sure to ignite your imagination.
The art course will cover subjects such as landscapes, villagescapes, still life and portrait sessions, carried out in the student's preferred medium in their own time and at their own pace with personal attention from the tutor and ongoing support and tuition (if required). As for the textile art and embroidery... the Sketch, Paint and Stitch course does exactly what it says on the tin!
A basic supply of equipment and materials such as paper, pencils and water-colour boxes will be supplied free of charge. If artists prefer to work in a specific medium such as oils, acrylics or gouache they are advised to bring these with them.
