Emphasis will be put on perception and observation, as the bases to painting. I will help you develop your personal outlook, as well as inspire your imagination in all this magical places and to help you appreciate art to the full. We will paint 4 hours every morning.
You may work on sketches for the first few days, and than proceed
to more accomplished works derived from these last. Or you may simply paint two or three works a day. If for some reason, you want to wonder and explore the territory during these days, you are pleased to do so.
We will meet again in the evening, discuss the work done during the day and see numerous slides of contemporary and modern art.
Faculty Information:
Tjasa Demsar is organizing and holding her workshops since 1996. She has an international backgrownd, lived, studied and worked in many countries as Italy, France, the Netherlands, England and US. Besides holding painting workshops she is also an internationally acclaimed artist as well as a buisness woman, owning a villa in the Wine Country of Slovenia where she has a Bed & Breakfast and an Artist retreat.
Other Activities:
Fee includes: cocktail the first evening, 7 dinners in typical Venetian restaurants (wine included), 6 days of lessons (acrylic colors, brushes, paper, canvases, use of easels and chairs included), including art appreciation course in the evening, afternoon visits to museums and galleries: Accademia Museum and Ca'Rezzonico Museum. One day painting excursion to the colorful Burano Island.

Tjasa just bought a 1820 Villa Flora in the Wine Country of Slovenia, 90 min drive from Venice. In a stunning part of Central Europe, out of the bitten tourist paths. She just opened a Bed & Breakfast and an Artist Retreat there. All participants will receive receive a 10 % discount for a vacation stay to use in 5 years time. One night in a single room or one night in a double room with gourmet breakfast. It is also transferable to family and friedns.
