We have developed a method for teaching Spanish that is by far the fastest and most enjoyable you'll find. Our program consists of three levels (Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced) with each of these sub-divided to suit your specific language needs (for example Beginning I, Intermediate II, and Advanced III). A brief verbal test before you begin your classes will ensure that you are placed in the correct level.

The standard course length is four hours a day, five days a week. But, we also offer an Intensive Course which is six hours per day for those who want additional instruction or who have time constraints. Both courses follow the same syllabus. During the high season (June, July, August) some students will receive classes in the afternoons.

This is a two week school and tour beginning Sunday. Home stay with a pre selected host family that will provide two meals per day (break fast and dinner) private room, laundry service. Professional Spanish classes for 4 hours per day at our school. Afternoons are free to roam or take excursions to cultural sites.

Two weekend tours to either volcanoes, beaches or rainforests, jungle canopy tour or white water rafting are included. 3 days & 2 nights double occupancy on first weekend. Single day tour on the second weekend. Meals & transportation included.

Your Itinerary

Day 1 (Sunday): On arrival you are picked up at the airport and taken directly to your host family. Depending on the time of your arrival, breakfast and diner will be provided. (B/D).

Day 2 (Monday): Arrive at the school for orientation and class selection at 8:00 am. We teach 7 levels of Spanish from absolute beginner to advanced and you'll be placed in the appropriate class. Classes run from 8:00 until 12:00 (4 hours with breaks) Afternoons are free for your own activities. (B/D).

Day 3 (Tuesday) – day 5 (Thursday): Arrive at school at 8:00 am for 4 hours of classes. Afternoons are free. (B/D).

Day 6 (Friday): Arrive at school at 8:00 am for 4 hours of classes. Depart from the school on air conditioned mini bus for transportation to either Arenal Volcano, Tortuguero Turtle Preserve, etc.

Stay the night in an excellent hotel, double occupancy. Meals included. Guide or representative from our school is always with the students on the trip to assure everything goes well. (L/D).

Day 7: (Saturday): Visit the attractions of the volcanoes, Turtle preserve, etc. Stay in hotel again that evening. (B/L/D).

Day 8 (Sunday): Breakfast, and free time until time to depart (approximately 3:00 pm) Return to San Jose, the mini bus will deliver the student directly to their host families home on return. (B/L/D).

Day 9 (Monday) – day 12 (Thursday): Arrive at school at 8:00 for 4 hours of classes. Afternoons free to explore. (B/D).

Day 13 (Friday): Arrive at school at 8:00 for 4 hours of classes. The last hour of classes on Friday include cultural activities. Usually Latin Dance Class, Exotic Fruit Class, etc. Afternoons free to explore. (B/D).

Day 14 (Saturday): Pick up from your host families home for a day of Jungle Canopy Tour or White Water Rafting. Return to your host family. (B/L/D).

Day 15 (Sunday): This is your day of departure. You will be picked up at your host family, and taken to the airport. (B).

Faculty Information:
Our teachers are extremely competent and qualified; all are professional philologists with many years of experience teaching Spanish as a second language. Most importantly they love what they do, and share this enthusiasm with their students.

Other Activities:
Take the afternoon to study or go out to experience theater, movies, museums, dancing and more in lively San José. We can even arrange tours and excursions to beautiful rain forests, beaches, and volcanoes throughout Costa Rica. Whether to receive University credit, fulfill professional education requirements or perfect conversation skills, our school is the school of choice. Plan on having a great time and making great friends.

Facility Information:
Our classrooms are attractive and comfortable providing an ideal learning environment. As individual attention is a top priority, classes are limited to a maximum of six students. Active participation of the students is achieved with a variety of games and interactive material which nurture a rich learning environment and promote fluency.

Home stays are a very important part of our courses. Our method of total immersion extends beyond the classroom and includes lodging with a friendly Costa Rican family. All of the families have been carefully selected and are monitored so that your home stay experience is to your complete satisfaction. Your progress will be phenomenal when you live and learn here!

Prices depend on the course selected and its duration. The price for the Standard Language Courses (4 hrs. per day) is:

8 week language and home stay (160 hours of classes) - $2470.00;
7 weeks (140 hours of classes) - $2185.00;
6 weeks (120 hours of classes) - $1890.00;
5 weeks (100 hours of classes) - $1590.00;
4 weeks (80 hours of classes) - $1285.00;
3 weeks (60 hours of classes) - $1020.00;
2 weeks (40 hours of classes) - $710.00;
1 week (20 hours of classes) - $440.00;
All weeks after 8 weeks same price - $280 per week.

If you arrive earlier than Sunday, there is a charge of $20 per day for the extra home stay days.
