Situated on the west bank of the Luangwa River opposite the Nsefu sector, we are completely national park bound! The area around Kaingo and Mwamba allows visitors to experience this ancient valley without interference from human settlement. This also means that wildlife is able to follow its natural migrations undisturbed by fishing or hunting by humans. Deep in the park and far from the busy Mfuwe area, visitors to our camps also enjoy the solitude of being away from other safari vehicles - there are no other camps in the immediate game-viewing area.
Accommodation at Kaingo comprises of six chalets including two honeymoon suites. All the rooms have en-suite facilities, are well ventilated, mosquito-proofed and silently lit by solar power. Each chalet also have an outdoor bath, and a private viewing deck over the river. These brick and thatch chalets are set discretely apart, each with a view over the Luangwa river.
The large centrally located open-sided sitting room includes a dining area, library and Kaingo’s renowned lead wood bar.
Mwamba Bushcamp has only 3 reed & thatched chalets set alongside the Mwamba river (which dries up by mid July) with en-suite al fresco facilities. It is an intimate camp, offering you an authentic bush experience.
