The mule deer hunt is a short but exceptionally exciting one for this outfitter. They have a special hunting area picked out for this particular five days. Their experience in the area has proven that the mule deer concentration is highest in this special area at the exact time the season begins. There is nothing more awe inspiring than a large mule deer buck in your sights. They will work very hard to see that you have this experience and are successful. You will set out for camp via 4x4 vehicles. Horses are saddled and packed at the first camp, located eight miles up Hull Creek Road. Seven miles on horseback (approx. 3 hours) ends at Grizzly Spring base camp. Tents are set up in advance in accordance with Forest Service regulations. 3-6 person tents are for sleeping, stocked with foam mats on cots and one large tent houses the cooking and dining accommodations. All tents are heated with wood stoves to keep the chill out. Guides take hunters out on foot in the morning and again in the early evening. Most hunting takes place within 1-2 miles of camp.
