In the Basque language these tapas are named Pintxos, after the toothpicks that are used to help keep the sometimes surprising combination of ingredients together.
Pintxos are one of the most interesting activities you can enjoy in Spain, and in Bilbao they are an absolute must-do in order to truly understand the city and the mythical gastronomy. Basque "bar food" has been raised to an art form. Known in Spain as "Pinchos, Pintxos, Montaditos, Tapas, etc", the tapas you find in Bilbao are unique: from freshly grilled foie gras to sautéed wild mushrooms with shrimp brochettes thrown in for good measure, to the famous "Gilda" banderilla, (anchovy, spicy pepper and sardine, impaled on a toothpick)
The workshop lasts 4 hours.
Chefs with wide experience will teach you all ins and outs about how to make pintxos and tapas.
