Newfoundland Vacations

Newfoundland is a beautiful, rugged island which still has Micmac and other First People settlements, while Inuit settlements can be found on mainland Labrador. The island has a rich history and you can visit “L’anse aux Meadows” the only confirmed Viking settlement in North America and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The superb landscape can be enjoyed along the many marked hiking trails. From the natural harbor in St John’s, the oldest city in North America, you can go on whale-watching tours and see icebergs close up. In Labrador don’t miss a trip to Battle Harbor where the houses of this once thriving town have been restored and are full of original items from the town’s past – it’s truly like being back in the 18th and 19th centuries!
