I had send you a letter recommending Helena Nugent. She was a great guide; knew her history and knew her highways and roads. Also, was great in personalizing the trip for us.

Helena Nugent was our tour guide from March 5 to March 9. We rented a car and she drove us all through the Southern part of Ireland. We began in Dublin, went to the West coast, then to the Southern part, and back to the East coast.

We had a grand time. It was all due to Helena's planning and execution of her plan. She asked us what we were wanting to do and she met all our expectations and more. I am amazed as to how knowledgeable she was on the history of Ireland. Many times I felt as if I had ... view more gone back in time as we toured the countryside and she gave us the background on each and every century for that part of the country.

The hotels she made arrangements with were superb. Not once did we have to worry about where we were staying or that we were not pleased with it. Helena had the right touch for our budget book. When we return to Ireland with our families, we are hoping she will be able to assist us again. I know I fell in love with Ireland because of what she provided for us. She makes a great teacher and to think she studied nursing.

Again, thanks for recommending Helena to us. Feel free to use this email as a recommendation to those interested in acquiring a tour guide for Ireland.

(I wish she could go with us to Italy when we visit that country. I know she could make it a fun trip if she were a tour guide for that country.)

3  Brent and Jill Hough / Visiting Dublin
Dear Helena,

I am sorry this letter of thanks has taken so long to get done. Jill and I consider our visit to Dublin and your walking tour as one of the high points of vacation. You covered every thing we would have tried to see in Dublin plus more. Your knowledge of the sights and the way you presented them was wonderful. We made ten port calls on our cruise and used the ships shore excursions on all but Dublin. Your personal attention made the ships excursions seem like cattle stampedes. Your price ... view more was very good. A ship excursion for two of us would have cost more then the private tour we received from you with no personal touch.

Thank you again for the wonderful day.

Yours Truly,
Brent and Jill Hough

Helena did a wonderful job. She has an encyclopaedic knowledge of Dublin, she is great fun to be with and she made a day in Dublin very special.

Having been to Dublin many times before, we thought it was time to take a tour with an expert so we contacted Helena and she turned out to be a gem.

She was not only knowledgeable about Dublin, but she gave us an understanding of the history of Ireland, told us a little about the folklore and, because the presidential election was taking place at the time, gave us a glimpse into the politics of the country.

You can't go wrong taking a tour with Helena.
