1  Irene Eckstrand / Family Vacation
It is impossible to put into words how much we enjoyed our trip to Copper
Canyon last week. The accomodations, food,
hikes...everything was beyond our expectations!

Julio at Uno Lodge was perfect as our guide. He knew the area well,
identified the cacti and birds and other natural features of the land,
helped us meet and understand better the Tarahumara, and was a terrific
waiter. The service at Uno Lodge was beyond excellent. I felt pampered,
attended - pretty much like a ... view more member of the British royalty! The views
of the canyon were awe inspiring, and our hike in the drizzling rain was
just beautiful.

Mario was also an excellent hiker and guide. He and his family were
wonderful hosts, and we enjoyed getting to know the kids and the animals.
The late afternoons of margueritas and cards in the gazebo were such fun!
One highlight was the outstanding picnic by the El Fuerte River.

Chal gave us a great introduction to the history of the region, from the
geology to the buildings and people of El Fuerte. The Rio Vista Lodge is
beautiful, and I really admire Chal's work to make it even better. The
highlight of Rio Vista had to be the hummingbirds.

This vacation was very special for my family; we will soon be headed
many different directions, and this was a chance to connect, learn
together, and play. It was all that and more. One daughter befriended
nearly every dog from El Fuerte to San Raphael and learned a little bit
about the realities of the non-US world. My other daughter loved the
people and learning about the natural history of a region of the world
she had never heard of. My son loved being outdoors and listening to
stories of the Tarahumara. My husband and I enjoyed time without any
high tech distractions, time to talk, time to just be together in an
exceptional place. I came away with much more than I ever expected.

So thank you, thank you for enriching our lives and filling our hearts!

2  Susan Cox / Wanting to Travel to Copper Canyon for over 10 years
Uno Lodge & Porochi Inn - great places. We thought Noel was an
especially good host.

This was a fantastic trip; one I'd been wanting to take for over ten
years. M16019's personalized itinerary and the benefit of small
groups made it even better. We went places the large tour groups couldn't
go, and didn't miss at all being herded off and on big buses for a quick
photo opportunity, as we saw happening with other travelers. The scenery
was beautiful and ... view more the day trips were great. Lodging and food were
excellent, and the hosts were knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. I
would certainly recommend M16019 to anyone who wants to see the
Copper Canyon in style.

Hola Lynn:
Just wanted to thank M16019 for making such super arrangements for our tour.
We can't say enough about our guides and drivers. Each of them went that extra mile
which makes a trip so enjoyable. Pedro and Ivan make a fabulous team with so many
hidden talents. Jullio has that enthusiasm that simply begs you to respond and Noel
balances him nicely. Chal provides so much knowledge along with super hospitality
and Mario and his family have done a marvelous job on their ... view more cabins and furniture.
They do so much with so little. It is a feather in your cap that not one person took
sick eating and drinking everything put in front of us.
Thanks again
