M17927, National Group is a community-based organization, non-profit organization without any Political or religious affiliation and registered in Chief District Administration Office Kathmandu. It co-ordinates local and international work camps with community groups or institutions in need of voluntary labor or service to empower community self-help initiatives.
We work to assist improve the welfare of the under privileged in our society in the domains of:
- Community/ Rural Sustainable Development scheme
- Education and capacity building
- Information and communication technology literacy
- Economic self sustaining activities
- Women and children-Gender
Our objective is to co-ordinate socio-cultural interaction between people of diverse background by creating opportunities for both local and international volunteers to exchange their experience and skills. We are also running different volunteer programs in Nepal. We offer year round volunteer program in the areas of Teaching English, orphanage, Internship in Medical and Newspaper, Conservation Work, Conduct Short term Training, Conference, Workshop, Other Community Development Program etc.
To develop linkages with similar institutions and networks in the country and internationally to effectively achieve the aims and objectives. To organize training programs for furthering development of skills and knowledge of trainers and practitioners as and when needed, especially when such trainings are not already being offered or can not be offered by any one member institution or individual and when such trainings and workshops will strengthen and bring synergy among members.
The mission of M17927 National Group is to mobilize and sensitize women and youth on the issues affecting them and how to utilize the resources available in order to promote and support sustainable self-help projects focusing on advancement of women and youth initiatives, income generating activities, human development and environmental conservation efforts.
Objectives. Our company also organizes mid and long-term project attachment, which takes a minimum of 2 to 6 months. This is mainly for volunteers who seek to sharpen their skills or do research while at the same time helping local communities in the area of their training/ interests. This is done upon request from the volunteers.
