Our company is a 16th Century manor house. It stands in extensive grounds with wonderful views across the valley. It is recognized as a building of architectural and historical interest and is situated in a National Park, which is an area of outstanding beauty. The company has been in the Watson family for many years and Robin and Liza have lived here with their family for the past 30 years when they first started the language school. Both Robin and Liza spent their childhoods abroad in many parts of the world and lived in Paris before coming to our company.
Our objective is to provide a perfect environment in which to learn, combining total immersion in English culture with the best in corporate language training. The current estate consists of a number of key buildings including the main house, a teaching and administration block, an accommodation block, stables, a walled garden and tennis courts. A new sauna and fitness suite have recently been completed.
The company was originally a Welsh Long House built in 1588, the year of the Great Armada. It was extensively restored in 1790 by the celebrated Admiral Hamilton who was the basis for the character "Jack Aubrey" in Master & Commander and more recently was the home of Christopher Fry, the famous English playwright of the 1950's.
