1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
Created my business in april 2009. The idea of sharing all the wonders of my region have always been something I wanted to do. 10 years of combined experience in the guest service and hospitality industries helped me understand the importance of a service that is dedicated to creating a reliable, personal, and positive travel experience.
2. What is your company's mission?
My aim is to give people the real sense of Provence, show them how locals live, where they eat and shop. Authenticity is the key word of my mission. My deep passion for my own region and my never-ending enthusiasm combine to insure that you will see and taste the best Provence has to offer.
3. What does your company specialize in?
Private chauffeured tours of Provence, with an emphasis on local gastronomy and traditions. Transportation in a 6 passenger A/C minivan. Possibility of transfer to/from airport, train station or hotels.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
My name is Marlene BOYER. I was born and raised in Avignon. After spending some time in the US, I worked 10 years in the tourism industry and I also collaborated with culinary schools based in the US. All these rich and various experiences sealed my vocation of working on my own, and offering a personal and customized service to the visitors of Provence.
5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
It is difficult to speak about "package" with my business, because I try to tailor each day trip to my client's preference. Provence is so rich! So many things to do and experience here! Each season offers something different and exciting. However, the destination or theme which is often chosen is the hill-top villages of Provence, especially in the Luberon area. This is what people imagine when they think about "Provence": beautiful dry-stone houses with alleys, vineyards, scented lavender fields, colorful markets, sun-drenched orchards and very happy people! Clients also love meeting local producers and taste their products. I try to include local food and wine visits as much as I can. Being a real foodie, it's never a problem!
6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?
"Marlene becomes your guide, historian, shopping assistant, camera expert, where do I stop! By the end of the day, she will become your friend. Just one of the most perfect days I have been Blessed to have. She picked the best places to see, and tour, as if she could read my mind."
