Base of operations: Japan
Honestly, the most interesting thing as young woman was how to make me look prettier. And years later, busy raising two daughters. I was not interested in my own country. Then I started studying hard the history and culture. Now I can understand a lot how our cultures were made and how some people are making great efforts to preserve Japanese cultures.
Since Japan has a long history, it is not easy to know it completely. I always keep learning, and I am also looking for nice restaurants, nice spots to have beautiful scenery, and nice areas which are near the urban areas, calm and beautiful, but not so famous to visitors from overseas.
I would like visitors to have very good time in Japan. I love this job, and I would like my clients from faraway countries to have great time. Living in Osaka, I also guide in Kyoto, Nara, and Kobe; they are only 30 minutes by train. The smaller cities in Kasai area are also attractive, such as Deep Nara, Mt. Koya. If you prefer a longer tour with the same guide, I would accompany you to wherever you want. I have many experiences to guide through the itinerary arranged by travel agencies. Japan is attractive destination, and Japanese people are friendly. I really would like to share good time with you .

6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?
This e-mail I received last year. He allowed me to use it. "Dear Ikuko, I am back in Tokyo and the rest of the touring group is flying back to Australia tonight. I wanted to again thank you for your all your good work in showing us around Kyoto and Nara and co-ordinating our itinerary. I hope you do not mind, but I have sent your email address to the other travelers and I expect they may send you a photo or two when they get back. We had a lot of fun. Once again many, thanks. If you are ever in Australia I will be happy for you to make contact and I can help show you my country. Kind regards Tony"
