The Omo Valley, situated along the Great-Rift valley is ideally accessible passing the chain Rift-Valley Lakes, the Savannah and grasslands of Nech Sar National Park; the skilled agriculturalist Konso people that are known to practice a culture of erecting wooden statues to mark their graves. The Omo Valley is decked with extra ordinary cultural integrity and is a melting point of different tribal values and practices. The Mursi, known by having a lip-plating culture; the Hamer, famous for their bull-jumping ceremony at times of initiations and marriage; the Karo, a people admired for their colorful body decoration are few to mention among many.

Mago National Park. The park extends towards the south of Ethiopia, on the east bank of the Omo river. With its typical African environment, is mostly interesting because of the wide range of peoples that inhabit it, including the Mursi, Karo, Banna, Dizi, Hamer and Bodi.

Omo National Park. Located on the west bank of the river Omo and running next to the border with the Sudan, in the Kaffa region, is the Omo National Park. The park is little-known, still wild and home to a large variety of animals.

Although not easy to access, it is possible to visit it by trekking through the territory of the Surma tribe, a people of Nilotic origin, similar to the Mursi. Like the Mursi, the Surma women wear a disk on their lower lip and dye their bodies with white-colored decorations.
