See Uganda kob, baboon, lion, elephant, buffalo, hyena, chimpanzees and the giant forest hogs. After the game drive enjoy your lunch as you prepare for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel and into lake Edward passing through the place of the highest concentration of hippos and other animals basking in the water
Day to Day Itinerary:
Day 1: After breakfast head to the southwest from Kampala. The drive takes you through the savanna grasslands and herds of Ankole cattle, which have heavy curved horns. Proceed to the Kigezi highlands normally referred to as the "Switzerland of Africa", with terraced hills and winding roads plus the mountain scenery to the Bwindi Impenetrable forest. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Rest camp.
Day 2: Prepare very early in the morning for an entry into the gorilla sanctuary, which is best known for fascinating gorillas. The rain forest has a steep forested landscape and is incredibly dense, with numerous crisscrossed animal trails making it accessible for tourists.
Expect to see mammals like the endangered Mt. Gorilla, elephant, black fronted duiker, rare golden monkey, buffalo, bush buck, leopard, giant forest hog and extra. The time taken varies with the primates’ movement. It is very exciting and awesome to spend time and take photographs as these primates interact. Dinner and overnight stay at Volcano Tented Camp.
Day 3: Drive back to Kampala with a stop over in Mbarara for lunch.
