Day 1: Istanbul Arrival in Istanbul, meeting and assistance and then transfer to your selected hotel in Istanbul. Balance of the day at leisure.
Day 2: Istanbul Full day Istanbul sightseeing tour with lunch, including the Topkapi Palace Museum, the Blue Mosque, St. Sophia or St. Saviour and the Grand Bazaar.
Day 3: Istanbul Morning at leisure in the city for your last visits and shopping. In the afternoon transfer to the port in order to embark the 6-night cruise to the Greek islands, Israel and Egypt.
Day 4: Mykonos Morning on board. In the afternoon arrival at the famous island of Mykonos. An international “jet-set” known for its beautiful sandy beaches, hundreds of tiny white chapels and incredible night life.
Day 5: At sea Enjoy a full day on board, either relaxing and soaking up the sun, reading a good book from the library, running for a prize with one of the quizzes or learning some new Greek dance steps. Start the evening with your favourite cocktail in one of the lounges of on deck and after a delicious dinner; enjoy an international show time, disco and casino.
Day 6: Ashdod - Jerusalem (Israel) A full day in Israel. Perched on sand dunes, Ashdod is one of Israel’s three planned cities. Passengers taking the optional tour to Jerusalem and Bethlehem will disembark here. During the visit to Jerusalem and Bethlehem you will walk the Via Dolorosa and see the Stations of the Cross. Among many other sites of interest are: the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and, in Bethlehem, the Church of the Nativity.
Day 7: Port Said - Cairo - Alexandria (Egypt) First port of call is Port Said. Strategically located at the entrance to the Suez Canal, Port Said is a thriving city and gateway to Cairo in the south, site of the ancient monuments of the Egyptian empire, which have fascinated visitors throughout the ages. The mystifying Sphinx and the pyramids of Giza stand magically on the outskirts of the city at the edge of the desert. Cairo’s museum of Antiquities holds one of the finest collections of artifacts in the world, including the astounding treasures of King Tutankhamen’s tomb.
Note: At the end of the optional tours, embarkation takes place in Alexandria port.
Day 8: Agios Nikolaos - Heraklion (Crete) Morning on board. In the afternoon arrival at the Cretan port of Agios Nikolaos. Take the opportunity to participate in the optional tour to the Palace of Knossos to visit the centre of the Minoan Civilization in Heraklion.
Day 9: Piraeus-Athens Early morning arrival in Piraeus port. After breakfast on board, disembarkation and transfer to your selected hotel in Athens. Balance of the day at leisure.
Day 10: Athens Morning sightseeing tour of Athens including all famous monuments: House of Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Adrian’s Arch, Temple of the Olympian Zeus, the Royal Palace, the Academy, the University and the National Library. Tour will end by visiting the Acropolis and the new Acropolis Museum, “State of the art” in museum construction and very rich in content. Afternoon free to visit the old Athens city (Plaka) with lots of restaurants, taverns and souvenir shops.
Day 11: Athens-airport At the indicated time according to your departure flight, you will be transferred to the airport.
