Day 1: Flight to Lima
Day flight to Lima. Upon arrival, be met by representatives who will provide all of the necessary documents and assist with check-in at the airport hotel, the Ramada Costa del Sol.
Day 2: Flight to Cusco
This morning, walk across the sky bridge from the hotel to the Lima airport to check in for an early morning flight to Cusco. Upon arrival in Cusco, be met at the airport and transferred to the Sacred Valley. Dropping in altitude, enjoy the peaceful countryside making the way to the lodging, the Urubamba Villa Sonia. Upon arrival, receive a briefing on available excursions in the Sacred Valley. In the afternoon, arrive in Pisac and enjoy some time at the colorful market of Pisac, with time to visit the stands filled with local handicrafts. While exploring, have opportunities to meet the local people selling their merchandise, as their families have done for many centuries. Return to Sacred Valley hotel for the night
Day 3: Sacred Valley
Full day of adventure in the Sacred Valley. Choose to enjoy optional excursions to nearby Indian villages or adventure excursions (horseback riding, rafting, kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing, rappelling and canyoneering, paragliding or fishing). For more details please inquire with a Yampu Travel Consultant. Also have the opportunity to plant a tree in the local community.
Day 4:Machu Picchu
This morning, be transferred to the train station. Surrounded by windows, enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains and river as on the way to the town of Aguas Calientes on board the Vistadome train. From here, board a bus to Machu Picchu. Have a private, guided tour of the ruins. Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas, was a flourishing ceremonial and agricultural site, thought to be the gateway to the jungle marshes of the Inca Empire. Take time to enjoy a light lunch or snack and return to the hotel at leisure. This afternoon, take a walk through the orchid garden on the hotel grounds. This garden holds a world record of having the most different orchids in bloom; 372 in total. They have a range that includes the world's largest orchid to tiny blooms that are best appreciated through a magnifying glass. In the evening, enjoy a wonderful dinner at the hotel. Overnight in a comfortable suite at the Machu Picchu Inkaterra Hotel.
Day 5: Aguas Calientes
Day at leisure. Choose to return to Machu Picchu, hike Huayna Picchu or relax in the village of Aguas Calientes and its hot springs. In the afternoon, board the train to return to Cusco. Upon arrival, train station reception and transfer to the hotel.
Day 6:Private tour of Cusco
This morning enjoy a private walking tour of Cusco where one will visit the Korikancha Temple, or Temple of the Sun, and the Cathedral and its Art Museum. During the tour today, have the option to visit the Casa Concha museum or the San Pedro Market. San Pedro Market is a lively, local market where one will receive a briefing about the local Andean ingredients and have an opportunity to purchase them. Next, explore the fountains of Tambomachay, a construction that has fine stone finishing and high command of hydraulic engineering, with aqueducts that continue supplying clear water to this place. Return to the hotel for an evening at leisure in Cusco.
Day 7: Flight to Lima
Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Lima. Once arriving in Lima, take a bike tour. This tour runs lovely hidden streets in the heart of Miraflores and San Isidro, impressive pre-Inca ruins in the middle of the city, beautiful houses, innovative restaurants, and a beautiful old olive grove colonial times, always enjoying an environment of peace and tradition. It will cover the residential, commercial and landscape of both districts, emblematic, hotels and even a pre-Inca pyramid buildings, accompanied at all times by countless expressions of contemporary eclectic architecture. In the second part of the tour will stop a few minutes to recharge batteries with a typical snack in a traditional place of the city and then go waterfront piers, cliffs and parks in Miraflores, enjoying beautiful views of the bay. It's a great way to experience the city.
Day 8: Flight Home
Transfer to the airport to take the flight back home, or overlap with the add-on of choice.
