Day 1: Departure from Home Country.
Day 2: Delhi Arrival:
Delhi Sight Seeing. Arrive Delhi. Transfer to hotel. Morning tour of Delhi. Visit Raj Ghat the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. Afternoon visit Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch), Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple. Also drive past President's House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place shopping centre. Overnight Delhi.
Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur: Jaipur Sight Seeing. Morning drive to Jaipur. On arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon free. Overnight Jaipur.
Day 4: Jaipur:
Jaipur Sight Seeing. Morning visit Amber Fort. Morning visit Amber Fort. Amber Fort was the ancient capital of the State. Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors. Afternoon tour of Jaipur. Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince and ever since, it has retained this colour. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja's City Palace and the Observatory . Drive past Hawa Mahal and through the pink rose residential and business areas. Overnight Jaipur.
Day 5: Jaipur - Agra:
Agra Sight Seeing. Drive to Agra visiting Fatehpur Sikri enroute. Fatehpur Sikri is 40 km from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces. Afternoon free. Overnight Agra.
Day 6: Agra:
Agra Sight Seeing Morning visit world famous Taj Mahal built by Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Later visit the Agra Fort containing the the Halls of Public and Private Audience. Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight Agra.
Day 7: Agra - Gwalior:
Gwalior Sight Seeing. Morning drive to Gwalior. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon visit city. Visit the Man Mandir, Gujari Mahal(today an archaeological museum), The fort, Temples of Sas-Bahu, Teli Ka Mandir, Jai Vilas Palace, Tomb of Gaus Mohammad and the Mausoleum of Tansen. Overnight Gwalior.
Day 8: Gwalior - Orchha:
Orchha Sight Seeing. Morning drive to Orchha. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon visit city. Orchha's grandeur has been captured in stone, frozen in time and a rich legacy to the ages. For, on this medieval city, the hand of time has rested lightly: the palaces and the temples built by its Bundela rulers in the 16th and 17th century retain much of their pristine glory. Jahangir Mahal, a tiered palace crowned by graceful chhatris has a spectacular view of soaring temple spires and cenotaphs. Overnight Orchha.
Day 9: Orchha - Khajuraho:
Khajuraho Sight Seeing. Morning drive to Khajuraho. Afternoon tour of Khajuraho. The world famous Khajuraho temples were built by the Chandela kings between 950 AD and 1050 AD. The most important are the Chaunset Yogini Temple dedicated to Goddess Kali, The Mahadev Temple, Chitragupta or Bharatji Temple with a lovely image of 11 headed Vishnu, Vishvanath and Nandi Temples, Lakshmana Temple, Visha Temple of Shiva, which is the largest and most typical of temples. Visit the Eastern group of temples that consist of the Parasvanath Temple - the only Jain Temple surviving at Khajuraho and has excellent sculptures on the outer walls of the Sanctum, the Javeri Temple dedicated to Vishnu. The other temples in this group are those dedicated to Brahma, Yamuna and Adinath. Overnight Khajuraho.
Day 10: Khajuraho - Varanasi: Varanasi Sight Seeing. Transfer to airport to board flight for Varanasi. Arrive Varanasi and transfer to hotel. Overnight Varanasi.
Day 11: Varanasi:
Varanasi Sight Seeing. Morning boat excursion on the river Ganges, a ferry pilgrimage from ghat to ghat. People bathe early in the morning to offer the prayers to the rising sun. The two cremation ghats are Manikarnika and Harishchandra where funeral pyre burns day and night. Every pious Hindu believes that to die in Kashi and to be cremated on banks of the Ganges is to attain release from the cycle of birth and death. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight Varanasi.
Day 12: Varanasi - Delhi: Delhi Sight Seeing. Morning free in Varanasi. Later transfer to airport to board flight for Delhi. No Hotel in Delhi. Later transfer to airport for return flight.
Day 13: Departure.
