Day 1: Arrive Chennai: Garlanding on arrival. Arrive Chennai and transfer to hotel. Overnight Chennai.
Day 2: Chennai:
Chennai Sight Seeing Morning city tour. Visit the museum to see the Art and Bronze Gallery. Drive through the Flower and Fruit market, High court, Fort museum, Marina Beach, Santhome Cathedral and snake park. Afternoon free. Overnight Chennai.
Day 3: Chennai - Pondichery Via Mahabalipuram:
Pondicherry Sight Seeing. Morning drive to Pondichery visiting Mahabalipuram enroute, The city of Mahabalipuram is famous for the seven pagodas. Here on the seashore is an interesting group of ancient rock hewn temples which are the examples of Dravidian style of Architecture. Arrive Pondichery and Check-in to a hotel.Overnight Pondicherry.
Day 4: Pondichery - Trichy Via Tanjore:
Tanjore Sight Seeing. Morning drive to Trichy visiting Tanjore enroute, The beautiful Chola Temple of Brihadeeshwara is capped by a monolithic cupola made of a single granite block weighing 80 tons which was taken to the top with the help of a 6 km long ramp, an old technique used by the Egyptians for building pyramids. Its bronzes and handicrafts make Tanjore one of the highlights of a visit to South India. Arrive Trichy and Check-in to a hotel. Overnight Trichy.
Day 5: Trichy - Madurai:
Trichy Sight Seeing. Morning city tour. Trichy was the citadel of the Chola dynasty in the medieval period. In the 18th century it witnessed the Carnatic wars fought between the French and the English. Lord Robert Clive's house is still there to see and so is the Danish Church. The Rock-Fort is the landmark of Trichy. A climb of 434 steps leads to the ancient temple of Ganapati on top and a further climb to a Shiva temple. Afternoon drive to Madurai. Arrive Madurai and check-in to a hotel. Overnight Madurai.
Day 6: Madurai - Kanyakumari:
Madurai Sight Seeing. Morning city tour of Madurai. Visit the great Meenakshi Temple dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering gopurams (rising high above the surrounding country side). Later, visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace - A gracious building in the Indo saracenic style, famous for the Stucco work on its domes and arches. Also visit the Alagar Hills and Tirupara Kundran Rock temple. Later drive to Kanyakumari. Arrive Kanyakumari and check-in to a hotel. Overnight at Kanyakumari.
Day 7: Kanyakumari - Allepey:
Allepey Sight Seeing. Morning drive to Allepey. Arrive Allepey and check-in to an houseboat. Overnight on board a houseboat. The coastal town of Alleppey on the Arabian Sea is the Venice of the East, for the numerous canals that meander through the town. Bathing in the backwaters on the Vemband Lake is refreshing. This town holds a thrilling event of snake-boat race every year in August. It is also known for its cashew nuts, coir trade, rice, pepper crops and coconuts. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8: Allepey - Cochin: Cochin Sight Seeing. Morning drive to Cochin. Arrive Cochin and check-in to a hotel. Overnight Cochin.
Day 9: Cochin:
Cochin Sight Seeing. Morning city tour of Cochin. Cochin is the natural harbour created by the famed underwater Malabar mud-banks whose quality ensures that the rougher the seas are outside the calmer the waters are within the Harbour. Day 12: Ooty - Mysore: Mysore Sight Seeing. Morning drive to Mysore. Arrive Mysore and check-in to a hotel. Overnight Mysore.
Day 13: Mysore - Bangalore: Mysore Sight Seeing. Morning city tour of Mysore. Visit the palace of the Maharaja built in 1911-12. The palace is of harmonious syntheses of the hindu and saracenic styles of architecture with archways, domes, turrets, colonnades and sculptures which are magnificent. Visit the Art Gallery; drive upto Chamundi hill to see Chamundeshwari Temple and a panoramic view of Mysore. On the way back, see the Nandi Bull. Later drive to Bangalore. Arrive Bangalore and check-in to a hotel. Overnight Bangalore.
Day 14: Bangalore Departure: Bangalore Sight Seeing. Morning visit city. In this Garden City - visit the Lal Bagh with a variety of old trees, fountains, lotus pools, terraces and an assortment of tropical and sub- tropical herbs. Also see the Maharaja's Palace and Government Buildings. Check-out from the hotel at 12:00. Later transfer to airport to board flight for onward destination.
