Day to Day Itinerary:
Day 1: Chiang Mai – Doi Saket (Approximately 45 km)
The excursion starts 08:00a.m. from our office Baan Nai Fan 1, Chiang Mai. After about 30 minutes awaits us the first surprise. Together with our bicycles we embark the boat at the Ping River that brings us to the northern part of Chiang Mai. Here we get on land at a farmhouse where we will have some fruit juice before we continue our cycling trip. The first day brings us to the country side of Chiang Mai province and we will see different kind of agricultural activities. The route goes along the rice fields and we pass by beautiful temples. The whole day you will enjoy the changing scenery. Before we arrive at our resort, we pass by the Mae Kuang Dam where we will have a little break and enjoy the beautiful view.
Day 2: Doi Saket – San Kamphaeng (Approximately 45 km).
On the second day we cycle from Doi Saket to San Kamphaeng. Along the way we visit a Chinese cemetery and Doi Saket temple that is located on top of the hill. This temple is the social center of the village and has activities most of the time. The trip continues over country roads and we stop at an orphanage for hill-tribe children. Here we also have lunch. After lunch we continue our journey through the rice fields and small villages where most of the people work with wood and or metal handicrafts. Of course we stop to make some pictures and give you more information. The night we stay in a Lana style resort where you can get a real Thai massage for a reasonable price.
Day 3: San Kamphaeng – Chiang Mai (Approximately 35 km)
The last day of Chiang Mai Treasures we cycle from San Kamphaeng through Bo Sang back to Chiang Mai. Along the way we stop at a small candle factory where you can try your artistic skills by making your personal designed candle. In Bo Sang where we have lunch you can walk around and have a look at a rice paper factory. The last stop is on a local market where we let you taste different kinds of fruit and snacks.
