There is no better way to appreciate the beauty of the canyons of Sierra Nevada National Park than walking, sliding, rolling and absailing down waterfalls equipped with the best ropes, harnesses and wetsuits.
The primitive, Andean river canyons posses a beauty and mystique that make canyoning here an unforgettable experience for fans of both nature and adrenaline. Come join us in this half a day tour which does not give you any chance to get bored in Merida.
Meet your Canyoning guide and instructor at 9 am. After fitting on the suits, we take a 30 minute jeep drive to the location from which you will be greeted by one of the most spectacular views of Mérida. Hike mainly downhill for another 30 minutes and get abseiling instruction. Once you are ready to go, we will find several small “chutes” to slide down, a heart-pounding 7- 8 meters natural hydro slide (where you may become airborne) more powerful waterfalls to abseil (rappel) down including a 35 meters monster at the end. The trip will return around 4 pm. The actual time in the canyon is around 4 hours. We will drop you at your posada in Merida.
Airfare is not included in the tour price.
