Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi. You will be met on arrival from London and transferred to Mount Kenya Region by my representative. Arrive in time for lunch and the rest of the day at leisure with optional activities or game drives to the nearby game ranches/ National parks. Dinner and over night at Serena Mountain Lodge or Naromoru River lodge. Full day at Mountain lodge with breakfast, lunch and dinner served at the lodge.

The only ‘tree hotel’ ever to be built on the slopes of Kenya’s legendary Mount Kenya, Mountain Lodge offers a matchless game viewing opportunity whilst combining a glorious panorama of mountain vistas with the primordial splendors of an ancient rain forest. Floating 2,195 m high on the flanks of Kenya’s highest mountain and secreted deep within her largest forest reserve, the lodge offers not only the champagne-clarity of mountain air, the tranquility of the forest and a colorful cavalcade of wildlife but also the chance of scaling the icy peaks of Africa’s second-highest mountain.

Guests can also awake to the trumpeting of elephant, fall asleep to the symphony of the African night or sit in stillness and observe the fascinating interplay of the animals as they arrive to drink, bathe, spar and forage around the water hole. Finally, they can venture down to the secret viewing hide by the water’s edge and experience the awesome thrill of being only meters away from some of the most massive beasts on earth.

Day 2: Early morning breakfast and later depart for Lake Nakuru with game drives en route. Arrive in time for Lunch, afternoon at leisure followed by an evening game drive at the lake to view the thousands of bird among other species. Situated in the heart of Kenya’s rift valley is Africa’s most famous Soda Lake. The park boasts one of the world’s greatest ornithological spectacles, with over 450 species of birds and also a sanctuary to the greatly endangered black rhino. Dinner and over night at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 3: Early morning breakfast and later depart for Masai Mara game reserve with game drives en route. Arrive at Mara Safari club or Serena lodges in good time for Lunch, afternoon at leisure and later followed by a late evening game drive returning to your club in time for Dinner and overnight at Mara Safari club.

Day 4: Dawn, morning and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara national reserve .Kenya’s best and most scientific game park. At the northern extremity of the unique Serengeti ecosystem, blessed with permanent water supply, the Masai Mara has a thriving permanent population of plains game. Of the hunters “big five” elephant, buffalo, Lion and Leopard are plentiful, while even the much rarer rhino might come out of the thicket for you. Hyenas are plentiful and the cheetah, a 60 miles per hour day time hunter, is often seen. Lunch dinner and overnight at Mara Safari Club tented camp.

Mara Safari Club: Your base for the adventure is the Mara Safari Club, which lies in the north west of the Masai Mara, at the foot of the Aitong Hills. The camp is positioned on an ox-bow of the Mara River, so that all en-suite tents have a view of the hippo-filled river. The lodge is surrounded by well-cultivated gardens dotted among indigenous trees.

Our drivers/guides are extremely knowledgeable on the Mara and its wildlife. At the Mara Safari Club, the swimming pool, and nightly activities of wildlife slide shows, traditional dancing and talks on Masai culture, combined with your game viewing ventures, all make your experience in the Masai Mara excitingly unique and luxurious. The Lodge resident Naturalist also takes nature and bird walks in the environs of the Club, for those who feel in need of a little exercise, as well as early morning escorted walks in the Conservation area culminating in a bush breakfast.

Day 5: Early morning game drive, in searching of the earlier missed action and later followed by a late breakfast.
