Day 1: Arriving to Yerevan, meeting in "Zvartnots" airport with bread and salt. Transfer to selected point. Support in check in. For visitors arriving in the morning – walking through Yerevan at nighttime and panoramic bird's-eye view.
Day 2: Yerevan (50km). After breakfast at the hotel meet your tour guide and start city tour round Yerevan. The contemporary capital of Armenia is 13th and is one of the oldest cities of the world founded in 782 BC. During tour visit Erebouni Museum of the History of the Foundation of Yerevan which stands at the foot of the Arin Berd hill, on top of which the Urartian Fortress Erebouni has been constructed. The next visit is Yerevan History Museum which throw light on the history of the city beginning from ancient times up to our days. Return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Yerevan - Garni - Gegard - Yerevan (73km). Breakfast at the hotel. Visiting History Museum of Armenia, where you will get acquaintance with the large collection of materials connected with history of Armenia and ancient eastern countries in the Armenian Highland. Drive to Garni temple (1st A.D.) which is the only "witness" of Hellenistic Epoch in the territory of CIS. After numerous Roman attacks, the temple was reconstructed and dedicated to Mithra, the God of Sun. Continue tour to Gegard Monastery. Geghard initially known simply as Irivank (Cave Monastery). Geghard and the Upper Azat Valley are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Return to Yerevan with stop at the Charents's Arch. It is from here that the Greatest Armenian poet of XX c. admired the view of the double-peaked Ararat. Drive to Hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Yerevan - Ejmiatsin - Zvartnots - Yerevan (40km). Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit to Matenadaran-one of unique Institutes of Ancient Manuscripts in the world. Excursion to centuries-old monuments Ejmiatsin and Zvartnots listed on UNESCO World Heritage list. Visiting the churches of 3 Virgins: centre-domed cruciform church of Saint Hripsimeh (618), domical basilica of Saint Gayaneh (630) and 'domed gallery' type church of Shoghakat (1694). The Cathedral of Ejmiatsin is an official residence of Armenian Catholicos. Visiting Zvartnots - a Temple of Vigil Forces. Return to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Yerevan - Talin - Dashtadem - Mastara - Aruch - Yerevan (180km). Breakfast at the hotel. Visiting Tsisernakaberd Memorial Complex dedicated to the memory of the 1.5 million Armenians who perished in the first genocide of the 20th century, at the hands of the Turkish government. Tour through Aragatsotn Ragion with visiting Talin cathedral (7th c.), Dashtadem Fortress (11th c.), Mastara St. Hovhannes (5-7th c.) and Aruch St. Gregory (7th c.) churches. Return to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Yerevan - Oshakan - Ashtarak - Saghmosavank - Hovhanavan - Yerevan (89km). Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Oshakan village which is perhaps best known for the Church of Saint Mesrop Mashtots (1875-1879) which also happens to be the burial place of Saint Mesrop Mashtots, the creator of the Armenian alphabet. Drive to Ashtarak and take a tour with the historic monuments of Ashtarak: Tsiranavor basilica church (5th c.), Karmravor (7th c.), Spitakavor (7th c.), St. Sargis (1281) churches Ashtarak Old bridje (13-18th c.) and at last visit Perj Proshyan's house-museum in Ashtarak. Continue tour to Saghmosavank (1215-1235) and Hovhanavank (13th c.) churches. Return to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Yerevan - Sevan - Hayravank - Noratus - Dilijan (180km). Breakfast at the hotel. Trip to the "Armenian Pearl" - Lake Sevan which is the 6th high-altitude and largest lake in the world with its sweet and astonishingly blue water. Visiting Sevanavank in Sevan peninsula and so popular Hayravank monastery (9-12th c.). Drive to famous Cross-Stone "Forest" (9-15th c.) in Noratus. Continue tour to Dilijan. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: Dilijan - Haghartsin - Goshavank - Matosavank - Djukhtakvanq - Dilijan (50km). After breakfast at the hotel walking tour round Old Dilijan with visiting Dilijan Branch of National Museum of Folk Art after V. Sharambeyan. Trip to Goshavank (12-13th c.) then Haghartsin (10-13th c.) monasteries which became great cultural and spiritual centers of the region in XII century. Drive to one of the beautiful lakes of Armenia Parz-Lich. In the second half of the day visit Matosavank (10-13th c.) and Jukhtak(11-13th c.) monasteries located in Dilijan national park. Return to Dilijan. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9: Dilijan - Odzun - Sanahin - Haghpat - Akhtala - Vanadzor (105km). After morning meal departure to well known monasteries of Lori region. The first one is Odzun constructed in the 6th century. The next one is Sanahin religious complex founded in the 10th century and included in the UNESCO World Heritage List along with nearby Haghpat monastery (10th c.) outstanding and magnificent example of medieval Armenian architecture. Continue tour to fortified monastery of Akhtala (12- 18th c.). Drive to Vanadzor city. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Vanadzor - Gyumri - Marmashen - Harichavank - Lmbatavank - Yerevan (280km). Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Gyumri. Start city tour around cultural capital of Armenia with visiting Museum of national architecture and urban life of Gyumri. Tour to Shirak ragion well known monasteries: Marmashen (10-11th c.), Harichavank (12-13th c.) and Lmbatavank (5th c.). Departure to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11: Yerevan - Khor Virap - Noravank - Areni - Jermuk (120km). Breakfast at the hotel. First trip to Khor Virap (4-18th c.) the importance of which is connected with Gregory the Illuminator, who introduced Christianity in Armenia. On the way to Khor Virap you can enjoy the spectacular view of the sacred Ararat Mountain - an immortal symbol of Armenia. Then excursion to Noravank (13-14th c.) situated among amazing sheer rocks on the bench of a twisty gorge. After that you'll enjoy your dinner in a grotto with a spirit of mystery and antiquity. On your way back You will visit Areni church (14th c.). The village of Areni is famous also for its excellent wine, which You are welcome to taste. Drive to Jermuk. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12: Jermuk - Khndzoresk - Tatev - Yerevan (300km). Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Khndzoresk village widely famous for its canyon with picturesque rock formations and ancient cave settlement. The artificial caves, some of which are currently used as stables and warehouses, used to be inhabited till the 1950s. Tour to legendary Tatev monastery one of the finest in Armenia. Built in 895, the complex consist of three churches of impressive sizes. In XIVc. Grigor Tatevatci based here the University of Tatev. On the way to Yerevan, descending to Vorotan gorge we can see one more creation of the nature - Devil's bridge of Vorotan river. This not made by hands structure astonishes by its perfection, moreover, from below the bridge is entirely covered by stalactite formations. Back to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: Departure (40km). Breakfast at the hotel. Check Out from hotel. Transfer to the airport 3 hours before flight. Support in airport check-in.
