Reykjavik’s south facing beach - Ægissida, University of Iceland campus, Nordic House, Reykjavik’s Catholic Cathedral, Parliament building, Reykjavik's Old Harbour, Tjörnin City Lake and City Center. We also pass the home of some of Iceland’s most famous people.
The first half of this tour includes some of the most important historical sites in the old part of Reykjavik. The second half includes the University campus and South coast.
We do visit some of the obvious places in Reykjavik on this tour but more importantly, we show you the sights that you'd probably miss if you were walking on your own or on a bus tour.
For this reason we do not include Reykjavik's biggest church which can be seen from everywhere in town, the most obvious sculpture which is along the north coast of the peninsula, and the conspicuous glass dome building on top of one of Reykjavik's hills seen from far. We avoid the hills on this easy bicycle ride around Reykjavik.
From the city center to the greener parts of the city and picturesque views of the sea – you'll take in many of the most important sights on this two-hour tour. See and experience places you would otherwise miss on foot or travelling by bus. Meet a local resident who knows the ins and outs of the city and brings the places to life.
