This tour will give you the opportunity to live memorable authentic cultural experiences with local people while discovering the wonderful landscape of these regions and enjoying the multiple activities listed on the itinerary. The trip will take you first to Senegal southeastern region where you will visit the World heritage site of Niokolokoba Park, a vast biosphere reserve spanning about 9000sq km. This is Senegal’s major national park. The landscape is relatively flat, with savannah woodland, plains, marshes and a few hills. The highest being Mt Assirik (311m) in the south-east region. Local ethnics groups namely Malinke, Fula, Mandica live nearby.

Day 1: Arrival at Dakar international airport. We met you and transfer you to one of the deluxe hotels in Dakar: check in hotel Savana Dakar 4-star deluxe or similar. Bed and breakfast.

Day 2: In the morning Dakar city tour. Around midday, you take the ferry boat for Goree Island (25 minutes boating). Lunch at one of the best restaurants on the Island. Visit of the slave house museum, women museum and historical museum in the Afternoon. Around 4:30 pm you take the ferry back to Dakar and transfer to Lac rose which was the final end of the famous Paris-Dakar rally. Diner in the Hotel lodge of Lac rose. Keur Salim hotel lodge or similar.

Day 3: Around 9:30 am you will get on 4 X 4 pick up for a tour around the lake following the last tour of the Rallye Paris-Dakar. Lunch at noon. Departure for Lompoul desert at 3 pm. Visit to a Senegalese village along the way. Arrival in the evening at Lompoul. Drink, dinner and fun. Accommodation under nomadic tents in that exotic place. Overnight.

Day 4: At 9 am transfer to Saint Louis the old french colonial city where you will have lunch. City tour on horse drawn carriage in the afternoon to discover the history of Saint Louis Island. BB and dinner in hotel Capsaintlouis 4-star or similar. Overnight.

Day 5: In the morning you will visit one of the birds’ parks of that region: the park of Djoudj or the park of the Langue de Barbarie according to the season aboard small boats called pirogues. Lunch at the park restaurant and transfer back to Saint-Louis. Afternoon relax or visit Saint Louis art craft market. Diner and BB in the same hotel.

Day 6: At 8 am departure for Kaolack capital city of Sinesaloum region. Visit of a Wolof village on the way. Lunch on route. Arrival around 4 pm at Kaolack. Visit its crowded market the biggest in Senegal. Diner and BB in hotel le Relais 3-star or similar. Overnight.

Day 7: At 9 am transfer to Toubakouta village located at the borders of the river Sinesaloum. Visit of a traditional village on the way. Lunch at the hotel les Palétuviers 3-star or Keur Saloum 3-star. Afternoon relax. Dinner and BB in the same hotel.

Day 8: In the morning boat riding on motorized pirogues to discover the wonderful landscape of the delta of Sinesaloum River made of beautiful mangrove and nature. You will visit also Sipo Mandica village alongside the river. Back to the hotel at midday. Lunch at the hotel and check out. Around 3:30 pm departure for the Ndangane fishing village and transfer by small boats to Marlodj islands. Check-in Bazouk lodge or similar. Overnight.

Day 9: In the morning boat riding party in the river Saloum to admire its beautiful mangrove and birds. In the afternoon you will visit the Marlodj island villages to discover original African cultures. Overnight in the same lodge.

Day 10: In the morning check out at 8 am and departure to visit joal-Fadiouth Village Island made of shellfishes to discover some interesting aspects of Serere people’s culture. In the afternoon departure to visit Mbour art craft market and its impressive harbor. Fishermen arrival is a breathtaking sight. Transfer to a beach hotel: hotel Savana saly 3-star or similar.

Day 11: In the morning Safari in Bandia reserve to watch savage animals like buffaloes, rhinos, zebras, and antelopes. Relax in the afternoon at your hotel or visit the orphanage center. Farewell dinner. Overnight.

Day 12: Check out and transfer to the airport to take your flight back home. End of our tour.
