Day 1: Amboseli National Park. Arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi where you will be met by our representative who will brief you then drive off to Amboseli National Park set at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The park may be best known for its herds of elephants and the ground-breaking research began by Cynthia Moss in the early 1970’s. Along with these gentle giants, other plains game such as zebra, wildebeest and buffalo are in abundance. Arrive in time for lunch at Amboseli Serena Lodge. Evening game drive with a visit to the observation hill magnificent views of snow-capped Kilimanjaro on a clear day might be visible. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.
Day 2: Tsavo West National Park. Early morning game at Amboseli National Park then drive back to Amboseli Serena for breakfast. After breakfast, proceed to Tsavo West National Park arriving in time for lunch at Kilaguni Serena lodge. Afternoon game drive with a visit to Mzima Springs, replenished with million litres of crystal clear water every day from underground streams stemming from lava massif known as Chyulu Hills. Mzima Springs form a haven for rich wildlife pageant. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena Lodge.
Day 3: Tsavo East National Park. Early morning game drive at Tsavo East National Park then return for breakfast at Kilaguni Serena Lodge. After breakfast depart and proceed to Tsavo East National Park. This park offers a vast and untapped arena of arid bush which is washed by azure and emerald meandering of Galana River. Guarded by the limitless lava reaches of Yatta plateau and patrolled by some of the largest elephant herds in Kenya. Enjoy a game drive enroute to Voi Safari Lodge for lunch. Take time to relax then in the evening set out for a game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at Voi Safari Lodge.
Day 4: Nairobi. Awaken to the sounds of the wilderness with breakfast at Voi Safari Lodge. Check out of the hotel and proceed to Nairobi with a game drive enroute. Arrive Nairobi in time for lunch at Thorn Tree Restaurant. After lunch, drop off at your Nairobi hotel for relaxation. Overnight at Fairview Hotel.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park. After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park to arrive in time for lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. Afternoon game viewing drive in the park. Lake Nakuru National Park surrounds Lake Nakuru, a shallow alkaline lake famous for the millions of flamingoes who flock here year round. Besides the rich and varied bird life this is a popular place to encounter leopard. Waterbuck are usually sighted along the lake shore, and this is the home of the Rothschild’s giraffe. Baboon, impala, buffalo, monkeys, warthog, Reedbuck and eland are also resident. However, the main attractions are the rhino. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge.
Day 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve. Breakfast at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge then depart via Naivasha through to Narok. Continue to Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch at Mara Simba lodge. Afternoon, enjoy a game viewing drive in this world reknown reserve. Masai Mara is a magnificent landscape of open plains bisected by the Mara River and its tributaries, and punctuated by marshes and forests. Certainly the most frequented game reserve in Kenya, this 650 sq kilometer reserve supports the highest density of game to be seen anywhere.
During the seasonal migrations, Masai Mara is home to up to a million wildebeest and an equally impressive number of zebras that move into the area from neighboring Serengeti National Park, in Tanzania. The reserve is home to all the “big five” and it is also possible to observe; baboon, eland, ostrich, bat-eared fox, jackal and cheetah. The rivers abound with hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge.
Days 7 & 8: Masai Mara Game Reserve. Enjoy the entire day in the Masai Mara with early morning game drive, optional balloon safari at an extra cost and an afternoon game drive. The Mara is also noted for its abundance of lions - particularly the superb black maned males. You'll see lots of elephants here often in large herds, as well as - if you're lucky - leopard, cheetah and rhino. All of the Big Five are residents. Overnight at Mara Simba Lodge.
Day 9: Nairobi. Breakfast and then depart for Nairobi arriving in time for lunch on own in a restaurant of your choice. After lunch, proceed for a city tour while shopping in this vibrant town of Nairobi. In the evening, drive to the famous Carnivore Restaurant for dinner. The Carnivore is considered ‘Africa's Greatest Eating Experience'. A varity of meats including a selection of exotic meat is roasted over charcoal and carved at your table on traditional Maasai swords (skewers). Delicious side dishes and an exceptional array of sauces complement this fixed price feast that also includes soup, a selection of desserts and Kenyan coffee. After dinner transfer to the airport for your International flight home.
