Armenia – Georgia - Azerbaijan

Day 1/2 Arrival to Yerevan, Armenia – Sighseeing tour – Garni - Geghard
Arrival to Yerevan, Armenia. Meeting and transfer to hotel. Accommodation at the hotel. Rest.11:00 Excursion to museum Erebuni, and Genocide Memorial to the victims of 1915. Drive to the Pagan Temple of Garni, which is the only non-Christian temple currently standing in Armenia and cave monastery in Geghard. The structures of the fortress of Garni are in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature. The fortress is situated in a picturesque mountain locality and commands a broad panorama of orchards, fields and mountain slopes covered with motley carpets of varicoloured grasses.
Lunch at a local house in Garni where you will have opportunity to watch Armenian national bread "lavash" baking and barbeque making process in the underground stove called "tonir". Northeast of Garni, higher up the gorge of the Azat river, there is a magnificent monument of medieval Armenian architecture - Geghard monastery inscribed in UNESCO World Heritage list (inscribed in UNESCO World Heritage list). Geghard is another incredible ancient Armenian monastery, partly carved out of a mountain. Return to Yerevan.
Dinner at the National restaurant “Our Village ” where you can taste Armenian National food and listen Folk music. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan. (F.B)

Day 3 Yerevan –Matenadaran - Ejmiatsin – Zvartnots
Breakfast. Visit to Matenadaran museum. Visit cognac brandy factory with degustation. Excursion to the centre of Armenian-Apostolic Church in Echmiadzin. Visit to Main Cathedral and Hripsime church. Ejmiatzin means the coming of the only begotten because it was built were people said Jesus Himself descended from heaven to show where He wanted a church built.
Lunch in the bee keeper house where we you can have a lunch with his family . Return to Yerevan. By your way visit ruins of “Zvartnots “ temple.
19:00 Dinner at the famous national restaurant “Yerevan Pandok” . (F.B)

Day 4 Yerevan – Saghmosavank – Hovhanavank – Amberd
Breakfast.Visit to Saghmossavank and Hovhanavank medieval monastery, situated in the breathtaking site, at the deep canyon of Ashtarak. Tour to Fortress of Amberd, 9th century, 6 km from the village of Byurakan, stands halfway up Mt. Aragats, at the height of 2300m. Picnic near the Amberd fortress. Return to Yerevan.
19:00 Dinner at the Armenian and Georgian national restaurant “Genac Vale”. (F.B)

Day 5 Yerevan – Khor Virap – Noravank – Areni – Selim – Sevan
Breakfast. Transfer to Khor Virap Monastery, from here one can enjoy the majestic view of Mount Ararat (where Noah’s ark landed according to the Bible), not too far from the Arax river. Khor Virap is the closest point to Mount Ararat from the territory of Armenia, the most convenient place for observing and taking pictures of the biblical mountain. Noravank set in a canyon rich with rare flora. Lunch in the cave in Noravank. Then we can continue our tour to Areni wine factory. We will have an opportunity to taste Armenia’s finest wine in a village nearby. Then our tour continue by Selim pass to Sevan lake. Visit to Sevanavank.

Day 6 Sevan – Dilijan - Haghatsin – Alaverdi
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Dilijan . Sightseeing by Dilijan town. Walking tour to the Haghartsin Monastery. In the upper reaches of the Aghstev River, there is Haghartzin monastery ensemble of the Tavush district. It is situated in dense oak wood, in the gorge of small but turbulent mountain river. There are a number of very interesting khachkars (cross stones) in the Monastery. Lunch in a family house in Dilijan. Drive to Alaverdi. Accommodation and dinner at the hotel in Dilijan. (F.B)
Day 7 Haghpat - Sanahin– Sadakhlo border - Tbilisi, Georgia
Breakfast. Trip to Sanahin Monastery (10-13cc.) (A UNESCO World Heritage site), which is comprised to several churches and chapels. Visit Haghpat Monastery (10-13cc). The construction of this monastery is associated with the glory of the Bagratuni Royal Family. The oldest structure of the monastery, the holy Cross Church was built in 977 - 911. Have lunch and drive to Sadakhlo border.
15:00 Meet at the border, coach and guide change and drive to Tbilisi. Evening excursion in Old city. Dinner at Georgian Traditional restaurant in Tbilisi and overnight. (F.B)

Day 8 Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Gudauri
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from Tbilisi Pass through Mtskheta – ancient capital of Georgia. On the way visit two UNESCO world heritage sites: Jvari Monastery 6th c & Svetitskhoveli Cathedral 11th Jvari Monastery is located at the top of the hill and is the place where the missionary St Nino herself erected a cross (“jvari” in Georgian) in the 4th century to mark the coming of Christianity to Georgia. Svetitskhoveli is the royal cathedral of Georgia, used for centuries for the coronation and burial of Georgian monarchs. Then our tour continue to Gudauri. Accommodation at the hotel in Gudauri. Day 9 Gudauri – Kazbegi – Gudauri
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to region Mount Kazbegi – In Georgian known as Mkinvartsveri (“Ice-Top”), this perpetually snow-covered giant is, at 5047m, one of the highest peaks in the Caucasus. Kazbegi is steeped in legend: the ancient Greeks believed that Prometheus was chained to the rocky flanks of the mountain as a punishment for stealing fire from the Gods and giving it to mortals, while Christian legend tells that the manger of Christ was brought to Kazbegi and is still hidden somewhere hereabouts. Whether you believe these tales or not, climbing the mountain is sure to be an unforgettable experience. Return to Gudauri. Overnight in the hotel. (F.B)

Day 10 Gudauri - Kutaissi
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Second largest city of Georgia founded about 40 centuries ago, former capital of the west Georgian Kingdom Colkhics, to which is related the myth of Golden Fleece and Argonauts. Visiting Bagrati Temple (11th century A.D.) and Gelati Monastery (12th century). Sataplia Grotto, where the prints of dinosaurs are found.
Overnight in Kutaisi. (F.B)

Day 11 Kutaisi – Gori - Tbilissi
Breakfast at the hotel. Driving to Gori. Visiting Joseph Stalin's House Museum.
Return to Tbilisi. (F.B)

Day 12 Tbilisi – Sheki
Breakfast at the hotel. On the way to the Georgian-Azerbaijani border we visit Gremi complex. Visit Sinaghi, Lagodekhi . From the border we continue our trip to the town of Sheki. (F.B)

Day 13 Sheki - Shemakha – Baku
Breakfast at the hotel. The sightseeing tour of Sheki includes a visit to Caravanserai, Khan’s Palace and local market. Then we continue to Baku en route visiting the town of Shemakha. Overnight in Baku. (F.B)

Day 14 Baku
Breakfast at the hotel. Baku sightseeing program – we visit Gobustan ruins, Shirvanshah Palace, Maiden's Tower and Ateshgah Fire-Worshippers' Temple. (F.B)
