Travel to the heart of Port Wine country, the Douro Valley, classified by UNESCO as World Heritage Landscape and considered by National Geographic the 7th World’s Sustainable Tourism Destination. Stay in the unique Quinta Nova inn, a winery farm where you will be able to visit all the production steps of one the best Douro wines and don’t miss tasting it! But you also have the chance to walk or bike the farm’s circuits or in the region where terrace vineyards and river curves will stay in your mind for long!

A true appreciation of what makes the Douro valley special can only be had via a boat trip along the river. The speedboat can access little inlets that larger boats can’t get to and which allow the visitor to enjoy the scenery in the most private manner and in constant contact with various Quintas. Due to the tour being done on a speedboat means that you can stop and photograph birds in flight, or even swim, just about anywhere along the river. If you prefer a calm trip up the river, we propose a trip on the traditional Port boats – the Barcos Rabelo – or rather exact replicas of the boats that carried the casks of Port from the farm to the lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia.

- Olive Oil Tasting. Learn all about the world of Douro Olive Oil, from olive picking to olive oil tasting you will be coached in such a way you will render yourself to the pleasures of the product
- Wine tasting. On the wine tours the guests learn about our vineyards and cellar that date back to 1764, as well as our lodge and underground cellar where the best Amorim-family picked lots are aged. The tour ends in the wine shop where you can taste a variety of wines and choose wines or other products to be shipped to another destination. In the harvest season (September), you will have the chance to harvest grapes with the specialists, try the first wine in the cellars and have a typical vintage lunch. The harvesting experience will finish with some Port and Douro wine tasting.
