In this tour, we will be organizing a simple ceremony to get the blessings and cleansing of your bad spirit and bad luck, and to have a peace, harmony and successful year.
Day 1: BKK/PBH - Paro.
On the arrival to Paro International Airport, we will directly drive to Paro Kyichu Lhakhang, the oldest temple in Bhutan, built by Tibetan King Songtshen Gaympo in 7th century. Here we will have a ceremony dedicated to the cleansing of our body, mind and soul by a monk. We will receive a white scarf (Khadar) from monk, which is a symbol of purity and brings blessings and good lucks to us. Then we will drive to the town for lunch. After our lunch, we will drive to Dzongdrakha and visit the Dzongdrakha Lhakhang. We can mediate inside all the temples, if you like to do so. Evening stroll around the Paro town. Dinner and over night stay in Paro, Ugyenphendeyling Resort or similar standard.
Day 2: Paro – Thimphu.
Today we will drive to Thimphu but in the morning we will hike to Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest).
- Taktshang Monastery is the most important pilgrimage site in the Buddhism world and it is the one of the main highlight of Bhutan Tour. If you wish to mediate here in the Taktshang monastery for sometime we can do so.
- Lunch at Taktshang Cafteria or at Paro.
- Drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.
- Stroll around the Thimphu town.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Thimphu Hotel, Peaceful Resort or similar standard.
Day 3: Thimphu – Halt.
Today we will make a hike to Chari Monastery with our pack lunch. The hike will take about 45 minutes from the road end. Cheri Monastery is the first monastery built by Zhandrung Nagwang Namgyel, who unified the Bhutan in early 17th century. We can also mediate inside the one of monasteries in Chari. Lunch will be served on our way back. In Thimphu, we will visit Changangkha Lhakhang, which protects the Thimphu Valley. The protective deity of Thimphu valley is here inside the temple. Then we will visit the Nunnery, where the women can pursue the religious studies or goals. After the 5pm we will visit Thimphu Tashicchoe Dzong. Evening at leisure. Dinner and over night stay in Thimphu Hotel, Peaceful Resort or similar standard.
Day 4: Thimphu – Punakha.
Today we will drive to Punakha over dochula pass (3150 m) above sea level. The pass is adorned with 108 small stupas. On the clear days, we can see the Eastern Himalayan Mountains, including the highest mountain of Bhutan so impressively. On reaching Lobesa, we will visit Chhimi Lhakhang, which is located at a hill top. It takes about 30 minutes to reach to the temple through farm fields. The temple is known as ‘the temple of fertility’. Lunch will be served at Chhimi Lhakhang cafeteria. Then we will continue our journey to Punakha and visit the most impressive or beautiful dzong in Bhutan, Punakha dzong and visit the temples inside the dzong. Evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Punakha Hotel, Damchen Resort or similar standard.
Day 5: Punakha – Paro.
We will drive to Paro and then we will hike to Singay Drak Monastery, which is founded by Guru Rinpoche at the same time of Taktshang Monastery. The hike will take about 45minutes from the road end. From this Singay Drak, we can see the Paro valley so beautifully. Then drive back to Paro town for our lunch. After lunch we will visit Paro Dzong. Evening stroll around the Paro town visiting the handicraft shops for authentic souvenirs for your loved ones. Dinner and over night stay at Paro Hotel, Ugyenphendeyling Resort or similar standard.
Day 6: Paro – Paro International Airport.
After our breakfast drive to Paro International Airport for your onward flight. We wish a very safe and pleasant journey back to your country. We hope to see you again in Bhutan in the future.
