Day 1, Wednesday, March 2: We meet in Tel Aviv and begin the first day of our adventure. Traveling along the coastal highway we arrive at our destination: Mt. Carmel. Here we will enjoy an incredible hike from Nahal Oren to little Switzerland, where Elijah hid from Jezebel. We’ll see the beautiful geological formations on the mountain that were created when Mt. Carmel was covered by the water of the Mediterranean Sea.

Next, we’ll visit the lovely Bahaii Gardens and on to Acre the fascinating Crusader city where an underground world was only discovered in the 1950’s. Finally, we travel to the picturesque city of Pekiin, where we take a stroll through the winding streets and alleys and then join our Druze host, Kamal, for a delicious dinner. Overnight: Pekiin Guest House. Includes: (B), (D).

Day 2, Thursday, March 3: Our adventure continues with a gorgeous and exciting hike on Mt. Meron, the second highest mountain in Israel, only after Mt. Hermon. We’ll start in an ancient Jewish mining village and will climb up to the top of the mountain where we’ll have an incredible view of the Sea of Galilee, the border of Lebanon, Mt. Meron and the Golan Heights. We’ll have an exciting climb down via Nahal Meron where we’ll climb down large boulders and reach the tomb of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, the author of the Zohar, the main book of the Kabbalah.

Next, we’ll travel to one of the four holy cities of Israel, Safed, the mystical city of the Kabbalah and the Jewish spiritualists. Here, we’ll have a guided tour through the ancient streets, visiting ancient cities, alleys of the Kabbalistic artists, whose art expresses the mystery of the Zohar. We then make our way to the shores of the Sea of Galilee or as it is known in Hebrew, the Kinneret. Overnight: Karei Deshe Guest House. Includes: (B), (D).

Day 3, Friday, March 4: Today we'll have a thrilling and fun filled adventure, hiking Nahal Yehudia, a part of the biggest national park on the Golan Heights. We'll hike into a deep basalt canyon and make our way through its waterfalls and pools. On the way, we will stop for a rest, get into the natural Jacuzzis and experience an unbelievable massage by the powerful waterfalls. Finally, we'll travel to the warm and soothing natural springs of Hamat Gader, where the Romans once enjoyed hot mineral pools and where we will have the same experience to sooth our muscles after a perfect day! Overnight: Karei Deshe Guest House. Includes: (B), (D).

Day 4, Saturday, March 5: Our hike today is Nahal Tabor, where the biblical Deborah lived. This is a beautiful hike where we’ll see gorgeous wildflowers, and lovely volcanic basalt canyons. Next, we’ll travel to Bet Shean, an amazing archeological park, not unlike Pompeii, with the city left in well preserved ruins after an earthquake. We continue south finally arriving at our overnight destination, a Bedouin tent, where we will have an extraordinary experience enjoying a Bedouin feast, an outdoor campfire and spending time with a Bedouin Sheikh who will tell us about his culture.
