Paradise on Earth. If there is Paradise! It Is Here! Mughal Emperor Jahangir to his beloved Queen Noor Jahan, on the inauguration occasion of "Jahangir Bagh" in the 17th century AD. Three Himalayan ranges, Karakorum, Zanaskar and Pir Panjal - snow capped, majestic, frame the landscape from northwest to northeast.

They are the birthplace of great rivers which flow through the Kashmir valley. A land where Lord Jesus and Moses came. A Land so fascinating that once You visit, you will Come back again. Kashmir has opened to Tourism after 10 years and the places featured in the itinerary are militant safe.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Delhi.
Arrive into Delhi, capital city of India. Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel. Afternoon proceed for a half day guided city tour of Old Delhi. Explore the living legacy of the Mughals. Visit the Red Fort, Juma Masjid, Raj Ghat the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi. Evening witness "Son ET Lumiere" show at the Red Fort (subject to performance). Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Delhi - Agra - Delhi.
Morning depart Delhi by super fast express train to Agra. Departing at 06:15 hrs. Breakfast on board. Later on arrival at 08:10 hrs, proceed for a full day city tour of Agra directly from the railway station, visiting the world famous "Taj Mahal", built by Emperor Shah Jehan in the year 1630 for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Also visit the Agra Fort, built by Emperor Akbar containing Palaces, the halls of Public and Private Audience.

Afternoon visit Sikandra- Mausoleum of Akbar the Great, followed by a visit to Itmadualla - Mausoleum of Queen Noor Jahan parents. Later in the evening transfer back to railway station tom board express train to Delhi departing at 20:00 hours. Dinner on board. On arrival at 22:10 hours, meeting, assistance and transfer to hotel for overnight. Includes: (B, D).

Day 3: Delhi - Srinagar.
Morning after breakfast, transfer to domestic airport to board Jet Air flight to Srinagar, at 10:45 hrs. On arrival at the capital city of Kashmir, at 12:05 hrs, you will be transferred to a deluxe Houseboat. Afternoon is free for personal activities. Evening Shikara (boat) ride on Dal Lake to enjoy the sunset on the Lake. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Houseboat. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, half day guided tour of Old Srinagar city visiting Khanyar Rozabal to see the Jesus Christ's tomb. Walk through the old streets of the city and later drive on to see the world famous Mughal Gardens where you will be visiting the Nishat Bagh (the garden of pleasure) built by Asaf Jahn in 1636 AD and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) built by Mughal Emperor Jahangir for his beloved Noor Jahan in 1619 AD.

Late evening at sunset take a Shikara ride on the Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty that God has graced this city with which is often compared to Venice. You will get a view of some very interesting places around the Lake.Overnight at Houseboat. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 5: Srinagar -Bandipur- Srinagar.
Morning after breakfast depart for a day excursion to Bandipur to see Moses graveyard as believed by the locals, which is about 60 km drive from Srinagar. Return to Srinagar for overnight at Houseboat. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 6: Srinagar - Zawain -Avantipur -Pahalgam- Srinagar.
Morning after breakfast depart for Zawain. An hour's drive will bring you to Zawain, where it is believed that Jesus Christ has spent lot of time near the spring which still exists. Continue drive to Pahalgam en-route visiting the Avantipur ruins which is 1100 old. From here it will take another 2 hours drive to Pahalgam. On arrival take a short trek to Mamleshwar temple made of rocks and enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains. In the evening drive back to Srinagar for Overnight at Houseboat. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 7: Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar.
Leave after breakfast and a two hours drive will take you to Gulmarg (2732 m). Take a short trek around the mountains and enjoy the beauty of the mountains. In the evening return back to Srinagar and on the way back meet the author who wrote the book "Christ in Kashmir". Overnight in Houseboat. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Note: Meeting will be especially arranged for you, subject to his being in Srinagar at that time. We will confirm this at a latter stage.

Day 8: Srinagar - Kargil.
Leave after breakfast and drive to Kargil. The road passes through the panoramic village of Sonmarg (2740 m). After Sonmarg most of the road is rough and wet. Cross Zojila pass 3527 m. Gateway of Ladakh and continue drive towards Drass (the second coldest inhibited place in the world) stop here for tea and passport check. Another two and half hours drive will take us to Kargil (2710 m) which has got its importance after opening of Ladakh for tourists in 1974. Packed lunch en-route. On arrival check into hotel for dinner and overnight. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 9: Kargil - Lamayuru - Uletokpo.
Leave after early breakfast. 4 hours drive will take you to Lamayuru. This day will be tiresome but panoramic too. First Buddhist village will be Mulbek. We have to cross the highest pass (Fotula 13749 ft.) on Srinagar Leh route. At lunch time (packed lunch) you will be at Lamayuru oldest Monastery. Enjoy the Lamayuru festival for couple of hours which is celebrated every year in the month of June or July.(In case you are there) Leave in the evening and another 2 hours drive will take you to Uletokpo Camping grounds.Overnight in deluxe camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 10: Uletokpo- Leh.
Leave after breakfast and after short drive you will reach Alchi monastery. Visit the monastery and later on continue drive to Likir monastery visit the monastery and its small village. Continue drive to next village Nimu a view of Zanskar River following into Indus. Finally you will reach Leh 3500 m at the lunch time. Check into your hotel on arrival. After lunch free for personal activities. Overnight at hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 11: Leh.
Morning after breakfast, proceed with packed lunch for a full day excursion to Thiksey monastery which is good to visit early in the morning to see Sunrise and Praying ceremony and also visit The Hemis monastery which is one of the biggest and most popular monastery of the region. On your return journey visit Shey Palace. Overnight at hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 12: Leh.
Morning after breakfast, half day tour of Stok Palace/ Museum and on the way back visit Tibetan Refugee Camp at Choglamsar. After lunch visit King's Palace and Tsemo Gompa which commands one of the magnificent view of the Leh town. Overnight at hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 13: Leh - Sarchu.
Morning after breakfast, full day drive to Sarchu via Upshi and you have to cross the second highest motor able pass in world (Taglangla Pass AT 5350 m). Enjoy the beauty of the mountains, continue drive through more planes where there are chance of seeing tiny herds of Marmots, Yaks and Herbs. At Pang we stop for lunch. Continue drive to Lachungla pass 5065 m. rugged in the middle of the mountains. Arrive Sarchu. Tonight our camp will be at 4200 m and it will be the coldest night during the whole tour. Overnight in deluxe tents. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 14: Sarchu - Keylong - Manali.
Morning after breakfast, depart for Keylong. Sarchu is the borderline between Jammu, Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. After a 20 km drive we enter into Himachal Pradesh and cross Baralachala pass at 4883 m. Here on the top there is a lake known as Surajtal and you will visit the first village at Darcha after Rumtze.

One may visit the Dalai Lama monastery which has been recently opened during the Kalachakra Festival. From here 25 km drive will take you to Keylong the head district of this area. Halt for half an hour here to visit the local Bazaar and later continue drive to Khoskar, where you stop for passport check. Later Cross Rohtang pass at 3978 m before driving 95 km into Manali. On arrival check into hotel. Overnight in hotel. Includes: (B).

Day 15: Manali.
Morning after breakfast day free to take a walk around this beautiful Himalayan town. Trek to Old Manali Village, see Hadimba Temple, visit the local mall. Overnight. Included: (B).

Day 16: Manali - Kullu.
Morning after breakfast, drive to Kullu. On arrival check into your hotel. After fresh and change proceed on a guided excursion to Manikaran, where the hot springs are reputed to have chronic ailments remedies. On return walk up to Naggar Village, home of Nicolai Roerich, now an art museum. Visit this small intricate mountain village, before returning to hotel for overnight. Includes: (B).

Day 17: Kullu -Delhi.
Morning after early breakfast, transfer to Bhunter airport (15 km) to connect flight at 07:60 hrs for Delhi. On arrival at 09:10 hrs, meeting, assistance and transfer to your hotel.

Afternoon proceed for half day guided tour of New Delhi. The buildings designed by Edward Lutyens,architect of modern Delhi - are truly majestic. The Presidential Palace, Parliament House and India Gate are reminiscent of the British “Raj”. Visit a modern Hindu Temple before you drive through Delhi’s beautiful tree lined avenues and the Diplomatic Enclave en route to visit the 12th century, 234 foot high fluted minaret of Qutab Minar which is the world's tallest brick minaret. It is situated in the Qutab complex, amidst the ruins of the ancient Hindu and Jain temples. Its Construction commenced in 1193 AD under the orders of India's first Muslim ruler, Qutab-ud-din Aibak, and the topmost storey of the minaret was completed in 1386 AD by Sultan Feroz Shah Tughluq. The Qutab Minar is notable for being one of the earliest and most prominent examples of Ind-Islamic architecture.

Finish your tour visiting the Humayun's tomb. Humayun was the 2nd Mughal Emperor, his tomb in Delhi is the finest examples of early Mughal architecture. The tomb was built by Humayan's chief widow after his death in the mid-16th century and displays the symmetry, reflecting water features and gardens used later in the Taj Mahal. It is built of red sandstone with fine marble inlays with a double dome. Overnight Includes: (B).

Day 18: Depart Delhi.
Morning after breakfast time is free for own activities. However we will provide you with a car and a driver, so that you can revisit any particular place, you fancied on your sightseeing tour or finish your last minute shopping. Later on time, transfer to International airport to connect flight for onward journey. Includes: (B).
