This trip Wonders of South America will allow you to discover amazing and unique destinations such as Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru. Our journey begins in Rio de Janeiro. After visiting this amazing city we depart to Buenos Aires political, economic, and cultural centre of Argentina; also, we will visit Iguassu and Calafate both with immense natural beauty.

We will cross the Andes to Chile where we are going to visit Torres del Paine National Park and also the capital city, Santiago de Chile. We will go to Peru to finish this trip and we will visit Lima, Cusco city of the Incas and the breathtaking Macchu Picchu which is considered one of the most important Cultural Heritage and one of the world’s seven wonders.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival to Río de Janeiro. Reception and transfer from Rio de Janeiro´s Airport to your accommodation.

Day 2: Río de Janeiro – Corcovado. We will ride the historical Electric train, stopping some meters before the stairs of access to the Statue of the Redeeming Christ, who has 30 ms and is in the top of the mountain. The view of all the city of Rio de Janeiro, with its beaches and mountains, according to many travellers, is unforgettable. The continuous visit in bus, crossing the Park of Flamengo, Museum of Modern Art, Monument to the Unknown Soldier, Maracanã Stage, Center of the City, visiting the Cathedral, Municipal Theatre, School of Beautiful Arts and the National Library.

Day 3: Río de Janeiro – Sugar Loaf (Pao de Açucar). The visit begins with the ascent to the cableway of the Sugar Bread towards the first mountain in level inferior and following again in the cableway until the highest mountain (395 ms), of where a panoramic view of the Bay of Guanabara, Copacabana is seen, Urca, Botafogo, Flamengo and its environs. We will also visit the beaches of São Conrado, Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana.

Day 4: Río – Iguassu. Transfer to Rio de Janeiro´s Airport. Reception in Foz do Iguassu. Transfer to your accommodation.

Day 5: Iguazu Falls: Argentine side - the great Adventure. Today you will visit the spectacular Iguazu Falls in Argentina. The visit begins with a ride at the Ecological train ending in the amazing and world wide known as “Devils Gorge”. You will also see different views of the falls from the superior and inferior trails. You will also take a boat and get into the water to see the falls from very close and even get wet under the waters falling. This tour is named “the great adventure” and it’s an exciting joyride that you can’t miss. You will get to navigate the inferior canyon of the Iguazu River and pass close by to the San Martin Island; the ride ends in a 4x4 vehicle that will take everybody back thorough the jungle.

Day 6: Iguazu Falls: Brazilian side – Buenos Aires. Today you will visit the spectacular Iguazu Falls in Brazil. Even though most of the falls are located in Argentina, the grat beauty that the Brazilian side has to offer is worth a visit because of the incredible views you will see from here. After the excursion you will head to the airport to take the flight back to Buenos Aires. Reception at the airport. Transfer to your hotel in Buenos Aires.

Day 7: Buenos Aires – City Tour. During the afternoon you will take a city tour. Visit the city of Buenos Aires, following its historical evolution and discovering the most traditional and picturesque neighborhoods, the vestiges of immigration, the Tango, folk, the culture and the football among other attractions. You will see the famous buildings and places, such as the traditional Square of May (Plaza de Mayo) and its surrounding areas, which witnessed the city foundation. A visit to classic San Telmo and La Boca neighborhoods, including the colorful street known as “caminito”. Next this you will head to Recoleta and Retiro which are also not to be missed areas of the metropolis.

Day 8: Buenos Aires – Dinner and Tango Show. You have the free day to explore the city on your own. At night enjoy a Dinner and Tango Show. Por la noche lo invitamos a una Cena Tango Show.

Day 9: Buenos Aires – Calafate. Transfer to the airport. Our staff will be welcome you at the airport of Calafate. Transfer to your accommodation.

Day 10: Perito Moreno Glacier - Navigation through the “Tempanos Chanel”. The excursion begins early in the morning. You will travel about 80 kilometers from El Calafate to get to the Perito Moreno Glacier. All along this road you will see the enormous landscapes of Patagonia. The Perito Moreno Glacier is located in the National Park “Los Glaciares” and it was named Natural Patrimony of the Humanity by the UNESCO in 1981.

During the visit you will walk along the trails to appreciate different views of this gigantic glacier with its tall walls. If you are lucky you will get to see parts of the glaciers fall in the water, causing a very particular and loud noisy. You will also navigate the Tempanos Chanel to get closer to the glacier and take some pictures. Note: Optional Tour - Minitrekking on the Glacier. Please contact us for more information.

Day 11: El Calafate - Free day. Free day to explore on your own. Suggested tour (optional): Navigation through the Argentino Lake. You will travel to the Port and will embark at the North side of the Lake, navigating it approximately 70 kilometers. The first glacier you will see is Upsala Glacier. This glacier has 60 kilometers long and 10 kilometers Wide and it is the biggest of all the Patagonia ice, with a total of 595 km2 of surface.

The boat continues the trip, getting to Bahia Onelli, where it stops for lunch. At Bahia Onelli you can make a short walk to observe the austral woods and a small lagoon where 3 glaciers can be seen: Onelli, Bolado and Agassiz and where pieces of ice can be found alter falling from those glaciers. Once the boat leaves the Onelly Bay you will see the next glacier: Spegazzini.

The Spegazzini Glacier has 66 km2 of surface and 1, 5 km of Wide and its main attraction is its tall walls of approximately 110 metros high, being the tallest of the whole park. The boat returns navigating the north arm of the Argentine Lake. You will arrive at the port and you will take your transfer back to El Calafate.

Day 12: Calafate – Puerto Natales. Land transfer to Puerto Natales, gateway to Torres del Paine National Park. In this small town will base to visit the famous Torres del Paine. Accommodation in Puerto Natales.

Day 13: Torres del Paine. We depart to Torres del Paine National Park. This spectacular park is famous because of their 15 towers whose height is between 2000 and 3248 metres. On the way to the park we will visit Cueva del Milodon a huge natural formation that has been declared a National Monument. The local community tells that inside this cave was found a prehistoric animal and now there is a museum that explains the evolution of this mammal.

After this stop in Cuevas del Milodon, we continue our visit to access to a sector of this National Park called “Laguna Amarga” (Bitter Lagoon) where we will be able to distinguish a wide variety of flora and fauna. Continuing with the visit we get to Nordenskjold and Pehoé Lakes, and also visit Gray Lake and its impotents glaciers. At the end of the day we return to our hotel.

Day 14: Puerto Natales - Punta Arenas – Santiago de Chile. Transfer to Punta Arena’s Airport. Flight to Santiago de Chile. Reception and transfer from the Airport to your accommodation.

Day 15: Santiago de Chile – City Tour. City Tour visiting the modern large city that is located in a remarkable scene by the presence of the majestic Mountain range of the Andes. We will visit the historical center, the Presidential Palace of the Currency, the Metropolitan Cathedral and its next buildings. We will visit the Santa Lucia Hill, site of the foundation of the city and will cross a river Mapuche, to observe the Forest Park.

Also we will see the Bellavista District which centralizes the cultural activity of the city. Next we will go to the Metropolitan Park which gives to access to the Hill San us Cristóbal who is the highest site of the metropolis. Also the visit includes the district of Providence, the new center of Santiago and Counts and Vitacura, like outstanding districts.

Day 16: Santiago de Chile – Lima. Transfer to Santiago’s Airport. Flight to Lima. Reception and transfer from Lima’s Airport to your accommodation. During the afternoon we begin with our visit around ancestral Lima visiting Huaca Pucllana an archaeological enclosure built in the IV century B.C. We will observe the typical pyramidal edification which is characteristic in pre-Hispanic sacred constructions.

Continuing our journey with colonial Lima, where its republican architecture and its streets with colonial mansions; we will have a panoramic view of the Republican Pass, San Martin Square and the Mayor Square, Government’s Palace, Archiepiscopal Palace, the Cathedral and the Municipal Palace. In the Historic Centre we will visit the Museum of the Central Bank. We will ingress to San Francisco’s Convent which have one of the most important displays of colonial religious art in America. Finally and to conclude with our tour we will visit Contemporary Lima visiting the most traditional residential areas of the capital.

Day 17: Lima - Cusco. Transfer to the Airport. Departure to Cusco. Reception and transfer to the hotel. During the afternoon we will visit the capital city of the Inca Empire walking through the archaeological remains of the Incas and also the colonial art in the Cathedral, the Sun Temple (Qoricancha), Sacsayhuaman, the Fort or Temple; Qenqo with amazing landscapes and channels, Puca Pucará where the Incas stored and Tambomachay place where water rituals took place.

Day 18: Cusco – Machu Picchu. We will depart towards Poroy or Ollantaytambo station the train’s departure point to Aguas Calientes Station. Afterwards, we will go to the bus station and take the bus to Machu Picchu. We initiate this ancestral visit of the citadel admiring the ancient stairs, temples, sanctuaries, terraces. Lunch in Aguas Calientes.

Day 19: Machu Picchu – Cusco. Free day in Aguas Calientes. Optional (Not included): Ascent to Huayna Picchu very early in the morning. In the top of this mountain we will appreciate the Moon and Sun Temples. During the afternoon return to Cusco in train.

Day 20: Cusco – Lima. Transfer to Cusco´s Airport. Flight to Lima. Reception and transfer from Lima´s Airport to your accommodation.

Day 21: Lima. Transfer from your accommodation to Lima’s Airport. End of our services.
