This itinerary of 15 days will allow you to visit in two weeks the best of Argentina. A complete circuit of Patagonia including outstanding Perito Moreno Glacier, sailing the Beagle Channel in Ushuaia, visiting the penguin rockery of Punta Tombo and seeing from up close tha amazing whales at Peninsula Valdes. Follow up to the North to see the spectacular Iguazu Falls the most amazing waterfalls you will ever get to see; finally arrive in Buenos Aires and enjoy its famous districts like “La Boca” and “San Telmo”.

You can take this trip throughout during the year. If you are particularly interested in whales visit us from July to December; if you are willing to see the penguins you should travel from September to April. If you want to see the best places of Argentina and wish to enjoy the incredible marine fauna, this is the ideal itinerary for you!

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Buenos Aires. Our trip starts at Ezeiza (Ministro Pistarini) airport where our staff will be there to welcome you before the transfer to the Hotel. During the afternoon you will take a city tour. Visit the city of Buenos Aires, following its historical evolution and discovering the most traditional and picturesque neighborhoods, the vestiges of immigration, the Tango, folk, the culture and the football among other attractions.

You will see the famous buildings and places, such as the traditional Square of May (Plaza de Mayo) and its surrounding areas, which witnessed the city foundation. A visit to classic San Telmo and La Boca neighborhoods, including the colorful street known as “caminito”. Next this you will head to Recoleta and Retiro which are also not to be missed areas of the metropolis.

Day 2: Departure to El Calafate. Today you will fly to El Calafate in Patagonia. Transfer to the domestic airport: “Aeroparque J. Newbery”. You will be met by our staff who will take you to your accommodation.

Day 3: Perito Moreno Glacier - Navigation through the “Tempanos Chanel”. The excursion begins early in the morning. You will travel about 80 kilometers from El Calafate to get to the Perito Moreno Glacier. Al along this road you will see the enormous landscapes of Patagonia. The Perito Moreno Glacier is located in the National Park “Los Glaciares” and it was named Natural Patrimony of the Humanity by the UNESCO in 1981.

During the visit you will walk along the trails to appreciate different views of this gigantic glacier with its tall walls. If you are lucky you will get to see parts of the glaciers fall in the water, causing a very particular and loud noisy. You will also navigate the Tempanos Chanel to get closer to the glacier and take some pictures.

Day 4: El Calafate: Free day. Free day to explore on your own. Suggested tour (optional): Navigation through the Argentino Lake. You will travel to the Port and will embark at the North side of the Lake, navigating it approximately 70 kilometers. The first glacier you will see is Upsala Glacier. This glacier has 60 kilometers long and 10 kilometers Wide and it is the biggest of all the Patagonia ice, with a total of 595 km2 of surface. The boat continues the trip, getting to Bahia Onelli, where it stops for lunch.

At Bahia Onelli you can make a short walk to observe the austral woods and a small lagoon where 3 glaciers can be seen: Onelli, Bolado and Agassiz and where pieces of ice can be found alter falling from those glaciers. Once the boat leaves the Onelly Bay you will see the next glacier: Spegazzini. The Spegazzini Glacier has 66 km2 of surface and 1, 5 km of Wide and its main attraction is its tall walls of approximately 110 metros high, being the tallest of the whole park. The boat returns navigating the north arm of the Argentine Lake. You will arrive at the port and you will take your transfer back to El Calafate.

Day 5: Calafate - Ushuaia. Today transfer to the airport in El Calafate. You will be met in Ushuaia by our staff who will take you to your accommodation.

Day 6: Ushuaia – Navigation through the Beagle Chanel and Tierra del Fuego National Park – Train at the end of the World. Visit the National Park “Tierra del Fuego” which represents the southern natural area with the particular fact of being the only National Park that has, due to its location, sea coast along the waters of the Beagle Chanel. The visit begins with the famous Train at the end of the World, from the main station until the National Park station.

The train uses the original structure of what once was used by the prisoners kept in the Ushuaia Presidium, today transformed in a very interesting museum. All along the train way you will appreciate the beautiful woods formed by coihues and lengas, the typical trees find here; a small fall and a camp reconstruction where the Indians lived.

After taking the train you will visit the Park, Cascada Bay, Roca Lake among other attractions. During the afternoon you will take a boat to navigate the waters of the Beagle Chanel, where you will get to see the gorgeous view of Ushuaia and the bay. You will also see the Bird Island, Lobos Island and Faro Les Eclaireurs.

Day 7: Ushuaia – Trelew. Reception and transfer to the Airport in Ushuaia. Our staff will be welcome you at the airport of Trelew. Transfer to your accommodation.

Day 8: Punta Tombo. Today you will visit the protected area of Punta Tombo which holds, during the time of reproduction, approximately 500.000 Magellan penguins from September to the end of January. The visit to the Natural Reserve takes about one hour and it will be reached after traveling 70 kilometers along a long road in the Patagonia lands.

The Penguins Reserve will allow you to see a magnificent spectacle where thousands of this funny and full of live penguins struggle between them searching for space, protection and a place to build their nest. After this visit we will head to Gaiman to see this small town where a long time ago welsh immigrants came to live. You will be able to enjoy the typical welsh tea. To finalize this day a visit to the Pale ontological museum “Egidio Feruglio”; here you will appreciate the evolution of dinosaurs and observe very interesting fossils from Patagonia.

Day 9: Península Valdés. We will begin this day visiting the Interpretation Centre where you can observe fossils among other objects in exposition. Following this, you will head to Puerto Piramide, located 90 kilometers from Puerto Madryn. Here you will embark the boat to navigate and see the whales, which can be seen from June to December performing their movements and known jumps.

After that, you will visit Punta Piramide where you can see the sea wolfs. Following this you will head to Punta Delgada (from May to December), 80 kilometers southeast from Peninsula Valdes. You can see the marine wolfs along the coast. We will continue to Caleta Valdes a geographic accident that holds a rich fauna. We will also visit Punta Norte to observe marine wolfs sea elephants and lots of marine birds. Finally we will see the Birds Island.

Day 10: Trelew – Iguazu. Transfer to the airport of Trelew. Reception and transfer from Puerto Iguazu’s airport to your accommodation.

Day 11: Iguazu Falls: Argentine side/the great adventure. Today you will visit the spectacular Iguazu Falls in Argentina. The visit begins with a ride at the Ecological train ending in the amazing and world wide known as “Devils Gorge”. You will also see different views of the falls from the superior and inferior trails.

You will also take a boat and get into the water to see the falls from very close and even get wet under the waters falling. This tour is named “the great adventure” and it’s an exciting joyride that you can’t miss. You will get to navigate the inferior canyon of the Iguazu River and pass close by to the San Martin Island; the ride ends in a 4x4 vehicle that will take everybody back thorough the jungle.

Day 12: Iguazu Falls: Brazilian side and great adventure. Today you will visit the spectacular Iguazu Falls in Brazil. Even though most of the falls are located in Argentina, the grat beauty that the Brazilian side has to offer is worth a visit because of the incredible views you will see from here. After the excursion you will head to the airport to take the flight back to Buenos Aires. Reception at the airport. Transfer to your hotel in Buenos Aires.

Day 13: Free day in Buenos Aire. Today you have a free day to enjoy and spend on your own. Optional excursion: Navigation Delta del Tigre. During the morning you will visit the Delta del Tigre, located in the North area of Buenos Aires where nature and history is combined. The trip includes navigation through the Delta’s Channels visiting the islands that lay in front of the Tigre.

Day 14: Free day in Buenos Aires. Today you have a free day to enjoy and spend on your own. We suggest going shopping to the malls that have the best brands in town, as well as the San Telmo, Recoleta or Palermo markets where you can find local production and handicrafts. We also suggest visiting a typical Rancho or “Estancia” in the Province of Buenos Aires. At night we suggest to take a Dinner and Tango Show (Optional).

Day 15: Buenos Aires – Ezeiza International Airport. Transfer to the International Airport Ezeiza (Ministro Pistarini).
