Chimpanzees are the closest living evolutionary relatives to humans, sharing a common ancestor with humans about four to six million years ago. They share 99% DNA with human beings.

Queen Elizabeth National Park' remarkable biodiversity is reflected in its health flora and fauna Checklists of over over 95 mammalian species, 612 bird species, Reptiles, name it.

Kibale Forest is the most accessible among Uganda's major rainforests and boosts of the highest concentration of primates in Africa with a 13 species record which also includes nocturnals. Chimpanzee Habituation Experience (CHEX) in Kibale Forestworks with a Chimp community which is undergoing habituation. Early habituaters can watch Chimpanzees leaving their overnight nests between 6:00 - 6:30am before feeding, copulating, hunting, breastfeeding, resting, patrolling and displaying until it is time to build new nests around 7pm.

Day 1: Kampala - Queen Elizabeth National Park. After breakfast, your safari to Uganda’s second largest National Park will start. You will stop at the Equator for photos and the Equator experience and at the local drum industry. The drive takes you through savannah grasslands with banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle, known for their incredible long curving horns. In the evening, you will take a look at the traditional salt mining at Katwe. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge | Simba Safari Camp (Full Board).

Day 2: Wildlife Safari - Queen Elizabeth NP. Early in the morning, wake up for a game drive where you will catch the early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. Have breakfast, and relax during the heat of the day as you wait for lunch. A boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which will bring you to a close range with the highest concentration of Hippos and many other animals drinking by the water edges. For bird lover and photographers, this is heaven. On return, you will rest and if willing, you have a walk around the Mweya peninsula for Warthogs, Banded Mongoose, Waterbucks and more. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge | Simba Safari Camp (Full Board).

Day 3: Chimp Tracking in Kibale Forest. After breakfast, depart for Kibale Forest the wetter with unique moist habitat and an extremely high diversity of flora and fauna to track a variety of primate species. Kibale National Park runs contiguous with the northern end of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Primates located here include Red colobus monkey, Olive baboons, Mangabey, L’hoest’s monkey, and several communities of chimpanzees. Overnight at Ndali Safari Lodge | Kibale Forest Camp (Full Board).

Day 4: Kibale to Kampala. After breakfast, your journey to Kampala via Mubende District will start. End of Chimpanzee and wildlife Safari 4 Days.
