The accommodation that we use ranges from the rustic, explorer experience in a dome tent to the more luxurious safari camps that my even have a private sala. Concentrations of wildlife that are not bombarded by the same concentrations of vehicles or boats are where we try and focus our journeys.
On the same token we have a few sample safari itineraries travelling through areas that in our experience we think are the highlights and most rewarding at the different times of year.
Day 1: Airport - Arusha. Pick up from Kilimanjaro International Airport with our representative and transfer to Arusha. Accommodation in Karama lodge.
Day 2: Marangu Gate - Mandara Hut. Very early departure to Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa, to climb from the route Marangu. The safari begins in the morning to Mandara hurt (3750 m), which is 6-7 km.
Day 3: Mandara Hut - Shelter Horombo. On this day, one must walk about 15 kilometers, 5-7 am to hurt Horombo (3750 m) Dinner and accommodation in a refuge.
Day 4: Refuge Horombo. Acclimation. Difficult day when we have to climb to the peak of Kibo (4700 m), which is about 13 kilometers, 6-7 hours, stop for dinner and accommodation in a refuge.
Day 5: Kibo Hut/ Gillman 's Point - Uhuru Peak/ Horombo Refuge
Must be lifted at 01:00 am to start the top of Gillman's Point (5985 m), 5 hours for trekking is the highest point of Africa. Later down to Horombo hurt for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Refuge Horombo - Arusha. Easier day descending towards Marangu gate where you will meet our driver ready for transportation to Arusha. Accommodation in Karama lodge.
Day 7: Arusha N.P Full day. After breakfast drive to Arusha National Park. This park is famous for the flamingos of Lake Momela, Ngurdoto crater, the rare black and white Colobus monkey and much more. Before arriving to the park are likely to find people in the region, the Wa-Meru along the road. Lunch at the park before returning to Arusha. Accommodation in Karama lodge.
Day 8: Arusha - P.N Tarangire. Depart from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Coming first to the camp for lunch. After lunch afternoon jeep safari in the park. This park is located north of Tanzania, 3 0 50's latitude and longitude 36 0 00'E. Its name comes from the Tarangire River, which rises in the highlands of Kondoa in central Tanzania and flows in a northerly direction along the park. Before becoming a national park, Tarangire was originally a very popular hunting area. Today it is considered one of the best areas of flora and fauna that are in eastern Africa. Dinner and accommodation under the acacia-camp tents.
Day 9: Full day Tarangire N.P. Full day game drive in Tarangire national park. Lunch under acacia trees with lions, dinner and overnight under the acacia-camp tents.
Day 10: Tarangire N.P - Lake Manyara N.P. After breakfast, transfer to Lake Manyara National Park which is within walking distance from Tarangire national park. Taking pictures along the way, we will go directly into the park for game. Lake Manyara is famous for tree climbing lions that inhabit there, buffaloes, large troops of baboons, hippos and aquatic birds in Lake Manyara etc. Lunch with baboons, dinner and overnight in tent camps.
Day 11: Lake Manyara N.P - Lake Natron. Departure from the park towards the Lake Natron. Photographing safari on the way. lunch, dinner and overnight at Lake Natron camp where you can see the mountain "Oldonyo Le Ngai" a few meters from the camp. This name derived from the Masai language means "Mountain of God", the mountain is located on the exterior of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, northeast along the Lake Natron. Situated at an altitude of 2878 meters above sea level, is the only active volcano in the area that erupted in 1966, 1983, and recently 2006. Dinner and accommodation in camping.
Day 12: Lake Natron Full day. We spend all day hike. May be closer to the mountain and Lake Natron, visit several waterfalls in the area accompanied by the Masai. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at Lake Natron camp.
Day 13: Lake Natron - Serengeti N.P. After breakfast drive to the Serengeti National Park. We will have packed lunches for you to have plenty of time to spot animals in the Serengeti. Although have written millions of words about the Serengeti National Park, all can be summarized in a few 'is one of the places most unusual of the world'. The Serengeti-a name that seems to conjure up all that is wild in Africa, 14,763 sq km, became a protected park in 1921 and National Park 1951. Dinner and overnight at Camp.
Day 14: Serengeti N.P day. Full day Jeep Safari in Serengeti National Park, which has 14,763 square kilometers and a lot to see, families of lions and their cubs, leopards, buffaloes, antelopes etc. Dinner and accommodation under the acacia-in tent camps.
Day 15: Serengeti N.P full day. Another full day safari in the Serengeti National Park. Breakfast, lunch and dinner in tent camps.
Day 16: Serengeti N.P - Ngorongoro C.A. After breakfast, visit to the Ngorongoro conservation with a stop at the Oldupai Gorge museum. We will have lunch boxes, so we will make a further short safari in the Serengeti before heading to Ngorongoro. Dinner and overnight in tent camps.
Day 17: Full day Ngorongoro C.A (Crater). Departure early in the morning to descend to the Ngorongoro Crater. We recommend a Jeep safari in the morning to avoid dust in the afternoon. It is also the best time to spot the black rhino. Lions, hyenas, jackals and elephants are another attraction. Breakfast and lunch below the crater rim that would not need to return to camp until later for overnight. Dinner and accommodation in tent camps.
Day 18: Ngorongoro C.A - Lake Eyasi. Quietly exit the camp heading to Lake Eyasi for a visit to the Bushmen. On the way, visiting the Wambulu which is the tribe occupying the area to see and study their traditions. Arrival at the camp for lunch and then delayed for a short nap before going to a hike in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Eyasi lake camp.
Day 19: Lake Eyasi day. Full day safari with the Bushmen. Early morning departure for a fantastic day. Back to camp for breakfast, lunch and nap and leaving later for another visit to the other tribe. Dinner and accommodation in lake Eyasi Camp.
Day 20: Lake Eyasi - Arusha - Airport. Transfer from Lake Eyasi to Arusha to catch a flight back to home.
