Day 1: Arrival for Kenya Tsavo Man Eaters Safari – Tsavo Game Reserves. On arrival, you will meet your guide then transfer to the hotel. Depending on the time of arrival, you visit Nairobi National Park or the National Museum of Kenya. Nairobi National Park established in 1746, is today Kenya’s oldest Game Park. Lying only 7 km away from Nairobi capital city, the park surprisingly still has varied habitats which include open, rolling grass plains, riverine woodland, valley thicket and bush, artificial dams and ponds, rocky gorges and upland dry forest. The park is fenced along three sides, where it is adjacent to urban housing, industry, roads and airports; only the southern border, along the Embakasi and Athi rivers, is open for animal dispersal. The park has healthy populations of big game among which include Zebras, Wildebeests, Elands which are July–August migrants into the park and African Lions, Cape Buffaloes, Leopards, Nile Crocodiles, Cheetahs, Hippopotamus, just to mention but a few. The park is a rhino sanctuary and numbers of the Black Rhino are steadily increasing. Overnight at Nairobi Safari Club.
Day 2: Kenya Wildlife Safari to Tsavo East National Park. We have breakfast then transfer to the home of the once-known-as-man-eaters’ home; Tsavo East National Park. At app. 337 km from Nairobi, this savannah National Park lies in low, semi-arid country at the eastern edge of the inland plateau, north of the main Mombasa– Nairobi road and railway. This has made it a very popular safari destination world over. Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest National Parks in Kenya after being established in April 1948 and yet together with Tsavo West, makes the biggest game reserves in the world with 40% of the total area of all Kenyan National Parks. Tsavo East National Park holds substantial populations of a diversity of wildlife, from large and small mammals to amphibians, avifauna, reptiles, rich flora, to insects just to mention but a few. Overnight at Tsavo Park Hotel.
