On the way from Arusha, Lake Manyara this is the first park we get to. This is a relatively small park, but with a large concentration of animals. A park that is nice to visit all year round.

Many African dreams have started after the documentary films from the great animal migration in the Serengeti and Masai Mara. These two areas are one and the same plains, but split between Kenya and Tanzania. If you travel in the period January-March, you can experience these massive animal herds in the southern Serengeti. More than a million wildbeast, zebra and large herds of gazelles. With predators lurking. The animals move through the year in search of green grass, as there are local differences. After the short rainy season in November and December, the plains of the southern Serengeti are green, and then the animals come here and give birth to their young. They remain in the area until late March, for the young to grow strong enough to continue the trek. When they draw on to fresh grass, and this is first a little further north, where the long rainy season starts in April and May. In June and July they come to Masai Mara, those who have managed to cross the Mara River without becoming crocodile food. Serengeti can be visited all year around and the landscape itself is an experience in itself. But in the period from July to October, you should go all the way to the most northern regions to experience the great concentrations of animals. This means you should fly back.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Arusha Town and Lake Manyara National Park Safari.

Pick up from Arusha city and depart for Lake Manyara National Park via Mto-wa mbu Village with picnic lunch. Game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara, which packs a lot of diversity into a small area, is the only park in the area that is green all year round. The park also offers a spectacular view of the Great Rift Valley and the fig forest here is a good place to see monkeys and some of the 350 species of birds that have been recorded here. With luck, you may spot the tree-climbing lions for which the park is famous. Dinner and overnight will be at Panorama Campsite.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park and Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast depart for Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch. The Serengeti is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. You will have an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. Dinner and overnight will be at Seronera Campsite.

Day 3: Game Drive in Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast, enjoy full day of game viewing in the vast Serengeti plains where you may encounter the migration consisting of over 2 million animals. They also attract the attention of predators like cheetah and hyena and you may be able to see a band of lion’s gang up for a hunt. Dinner and overnight will be at Seronera Campsite. Meals Plans: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
