Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Lhasa No meal is included. Your guide welcomes you at Lhasa airport and take you directly to your hotel in the city center. Take time to get over the high altitude before starting your exploration in the Tibetan capital.

Day 2: Lhasa Breakfast and Lunch are included. This morning, you will first visit the symbol of Lhasa and important location for all Tibetans, the Potala Palace. Once inside, you may see a line of visitors waiting to discover the incomparable treasures contained in this religious center of Tibetan Buddhism. You may be speechless at the sight of these works are so unique. Everything here is made of gold, silver and precious stones. Then, stroll through the old neighbourhood surrounding the Jokhang Monastery, the Barkhor Street. Some of its streets follow the path of prayers of pilgrims from all over Tibet, so you can watch them bow every three steps. In this lively environment, admire the traditional Tibetan architecture and enjoy the market to find an array of typical souvenirs from Tibet!

Last, visit the most sacred Buddhist temple in the eyes of Tibetans, the Johkang Temple. Before entering the various rooms of this vast place for pilgrimage, the roof of the monastery announces color. Here, everything is finely engraved along with gilded sculptures. Whether seeing the Buddha statue or Thangkas, you will find every corner here is shining.

Day 3: Lhasa Breakfast and lunch are included. Today, you will leave Lhasa to discover one of the most important "Three Major Monasteries in Lhasa", the Drepung Monastery. From a distance, it gives the appearance of a fortified city, but once past the gates, you will feel the sacredness of the place. Former residence of the first Dalai Lama, this monastery is one of the largest monastic universities in Tibet. In its gardens, you will probably see monks debating on Buddhist texts.
Then, go north of Lhasa to visit the fantastic Sera Monastery. Being considered as one of the most important monasteries in Lhasa, you will discover that it unfortunately has lost its splendour. Nevertheless, you can observe beautiful treasures in gold. In the afternoon, stay a moment in the garden of the monastery to attend debates between local monks.

Day 4: Lhasa Breakfast and lunch are included. Today, you will head to visit the Namtso Lake. On the road between Lhasa and Namtso Lake, stop at the Nagenla mountain. Until then, the lake was hidden but, after arriving at this passage at 5190 meters above sea level, you will have a great view over the vast expanse of water. Be sure to take the time to enjoy this moment, as you allow the serenity of the scene to soak in. Upon arrival, this blue sea which extends to almost 5000 meters above sea level will convert you to Buddhism. This enchanting landscape where crystal waters merge with perfect sky on a Tibetan Plateau is conducive to meditation. This unparalleled place where nature takes its course will cleanse the soul.

Day 5: Lhasa Breakfast is included. Today, you will go to visit the Norbulingka. This summer palace of the Dalai Lama will seem very peaceful and refreshing. Enjoy the huge park but do not miss the palace where successive spiritual leaders resided. Each palace excels in beauty and hidden treasures. It is no surprise that its Tibetan name means Treasure Park.

Day 6: Lhasa Breakfast is included. Free until be transferred to the airport for the flight to your next destination.
