Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Xiamen Breakfast is included. Upon arrival at the Xiamen Airport, your guide will meet you at the arrival hall and then you will be transferred to have lunch. After lunch, you will mount the Hulishan Fortress to overlook the sea. You will have a splendid view of the expanse of water out of sight and the islands beyond. Redeveloped in part museum, you can admire weapons, uniforms and beautiful guns. Both are of great rarity, one measuring 13 meters long and looking gigantic in comparison with the other just 11 centimeters. Time for this evening, you can relax or explore the neighbourhood on your own. You can ask for a great restaurant for your dinner.

Day 2: Xiamen-Yongding Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner are included. This morning leave for Yongding County, a 3-hour drive from Xiamen. Wander the cobbled streets of the village and discover the most beautiful Yongding Tulou. These Hakka earth buildings will open their doors and their secrets. Real architectural heritage classified under UNESCO, these houses circular or square, large or small, are a marvel unmatched. Midday, you will take your meal at a restaurant in the Hongkeng village. Here you can enjoy local specialties such as rice and vegetables that have been grown in the region. During your walk in this county, admire the largest Yongding Tulou, “Chengqi Lou” as well as the prince of Tulou, “Zhengcheng Lou”. After these imposing circular earth building go for the square Tulou “Kuiju Lou” and one of the smallest earth building, “Rusheng Lou”. Some are these areas are still inhabited by locals, so you can observe the daily life of the Hakka people. Moreover, you will have even the chance to sleep in one of these fortified farms in order to fully enjoy the atmosphere of the scene.

Day 3: Yongding-Zhangzhou-Xiamen Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner are included
Today, go 70 miles east of Yongding for the Nanjing Tulou, Fujian true architectural heritage. Find a set of the most impressive Hakka earth buildings, Tianluokeng. This Tulou group will amaze you not only with their beautiful decoration but also by their splendid panorama from a hill overlooking. Then head to the Tulou of Yuchang Lou has the distinction of having the pillars not perpendicular. This has also earned the nickname building zigzag.Then, visit the small Taxia village. Follow the river through the village to see the old Hakka fortified farmhouses. Here, people have kept their traditional way of life and open the cover of their house so that you appreciate their special architecture. You also discover the hall of ancestors Zhang, true cultural relic of the region.By late afternoon, you will return to Xiamen.

Day 4: Xiamen Breakfast and lunch are included. This morning, take the ferry to Gulangyu Island. Cut off from the world, the peace and quiet reign in this haven of peace devoid of any traffic. Stroll in the Garden Shuzhuang and rainforest. You have a beautiful view of the sea and can even visit the museum of piano and instruments of great rarity. Then enjoy a ride on the Sunlight Rock where you have a 360° breathtaking views. Finally, as you stroll through the peaceful streets of the island you can admire some of the most delightful western houses of the early twentieth century. You go visit even one of them, the Haitian villa where you will see a puppet show. After lunch, you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight.
