Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Kunming No meal is included. Upon arrival at Kunming airport, the local guide will carry a sign with your name to welcome you at the arrival hall. Then you will be transferred to the hotel in city center. The balance of the day will be at leisure.

Day 2: Kunming-Honghe Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner are included. This morning, head to the immense Kunming Stone Forest, which is approximately 1.5 hours' drive southeast of Kunming. This sea of rocks offers an ageless, magical landscape where karst peaks intermingle. Explore this labyrinth of stones and mount this ocean of limestone to look out and admire the strange forms that are present at this site.After visiting stone forest, continue your exploration to the south of Yunnan, especially the town of Yuanyang, which you can reach at nightfall. Along the way, make a few stops in villages of the Dai ethnic groups of Yunnan.

Day 3: Honghe Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner are included. Get a short distance away from Yuanyang Village to admire some of the most beautiful scenery in China. Discover the splendid rice terraces of Duoyishu scenic area, uniting beautifully on the sloping hillsides. Then take a visit to the Bada scenic area. Here, you can stop at the Sheng village and then come into direct contact with the Hani and Yi minorities who come to shop. After arriving in Bada, enjoy the view of the beautiful terraces. Go through the Qingkou village where members of ethnic Hani established their homes. Finally, once the sun begins to set, head over to the terraces of the Mouth of the Tiger where the panorama at this time there is like none other.

Day 4: Honghe Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner are included. Enjoy your morning stroll in the small village of Shengcun and discover its local market. You can come to talk with minorities of Hani and Yi who are here to do their shopping. Then you will leave for the county of Jianshui, 3 hour' drive from Yuanyang. Upon arrival, you will first go for dinner and then will be transferred to the hotel in Jinshui.

Day 5: Honghe Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner are included. Travel to the old town of Jianshui and experience its treasures. Retrace the footsteps of Confucius with a visit to the second largest temple that is dedicated to him. Here, retirees gather to play mahjong and other Chinese games. A quick visit outside of the town will allow the opportunity to admire the extraordinary Double Dragon Bridge and its 17 arches. Returning to town, one can go through the gate of Chaoyang, a sort of miniature Tiananmen Gate. Finally, end the day in the Zhu's Family Garden, an old rich merchant family who built an impressive complex of houses on 2 acres of land. Enjoy the serenity of the gardens and even spend the night in a hotel, another place to celebrate this experience. There is nothing better than to enjoy the special atmosphere of this place.

Day 6: Honghe-Kunming Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner are included. This morning, head to the historic village of Tuanshan. Lost in this remote region of China, you will have the impression of entering a village that has been frozen in time. With the architecture of a traditional Yunnan village, you will discover this ancient place of wealth to be a setting that has escaped modernity. Walking through its maze of alleys, immerse yourself in this special atmosphere. The impression will be even stronger when you visit the residence of the Zhang family, a village within the village, where nothing has been left out. After lunch, you will spend 3-4 hours' drive returning to Kunming. Admire the beautiful landscapes of southern Yunnan along the road. Tonight, watch the Dynamic Yunnan show and feel free to sing along during the 1 hour and 40 minutes of traditional songs and dances from the minorities of Yunnan. With the participation of members of these ethnic groups, the show perfectly reflects the customs of these peoples. Marvel at the colourful costumes and authentic instruments and decorations that will be presented to the sound of traditional music.

Day 7: Kunming-Dali by coach Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner are included. A few kilometers south of Kunming, ride a cable car that takes you straight to the top of the Western hills. From there, the Dragon Gate and its finely carved caves welcome you. But most importantly, enjoy the pavilion at the top of the cliff to admire the stunning views of the Dianchi Lake and the city of Kunming. After lunch, you visit a tea house to taste the most famous black tea from China, the semi-fermented Pu'er. You are then taken to the bus station of Kunming for a long-distance coach to Dali (4 h). The Kunming guide will see you off at the bus station. You will have some stops to go to the restroom or buy some snacks on the way. Upon arrival at Dali Bus Station, your new guide is there to welcome you. Before check in, you will first go for dinner.

Day 8: Dali Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner are included. Today, we first go take a cruise on the Erhai Lake. Once on its shores, you would like to fix your eyes on the vast stretch of crystal water, which reflects the snowy mountains of Cangshan. The cruise will take you on the folk island of Nanzhao where you will discover the vestiges of this ancient Kingdom. You will also attend the ceremony of the Three Course Tea, which is very important in the tradition of the Bai ethnic group that settled on the shores of Erhai Lake. Then, visit the Three Pagodas of Dali. Once on the scene, you cannot resist the beauty of these elegant towers pointing to the sky. With a splendid view of the Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake surrounding you, stroll amidst these ancient relics to arrive at Chongsheng Temple. In this temple, admire the bronze bell, statue of Guanyin and some of the treasures contained in pagodas. Last, stroll through the Dali old town. Although a rather small area, one can get lost in the maze of streets of Dali. Still surrounded by ramparts, the ancient town continues to maintain and showcase an atmosphere of the Nanzhao kingdom. Be sure to stop in the park while you pass by to meet the local playing cards or mahjong.

Day 9: Dali-Lijiang Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner are included. This morning, go a few kilometers away from Dali to the small town of Xizhou. In this old town of the Nanzhao kingdom, you will discover the well-preserved remnants of the Bai ethnic group. The homes of this minority group were built beautifully with rich decorations. From one rooftop of these houses, you will have a magnificent view of the colourful roofs of Xizhou. Then, depart for the Bai village of Zhoucheng. Very well preserved, you can appreciate the splendour of the Bai architecture here. But most importantly, take the opportunity to go spend time with the local population, which here carries on the traditions of its people. Thus, you can even watch women manufacturing the famous Batik fabrics in local crafts shops. Then, you will be transferred to Lijiang. After 3 hours' drive, you will arrive Lijiang. The rest of the day will be at leisure. You can wander through the maze of alleyways of the old town of Lijiang.

Day 10: Lijiang Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner are included. Today, head to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. In this beautiful setting, watch the Impression Lijiang show at 3,100 meters above sea level. In the park of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, with snowy peaks as a backdrop, discover the musical traditions and lifestyles of ethnic groups in Yunnan. Four hundred players from these groups will make you live a unique experience to the sound of drums and galloping horses. Then, take the cable car to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and its Yak meadow. Discover a part of this majestic mountain snowcapped throughout the year. Once in the meadow, push up the mountain through one of the many hiking opportunities. On a clear day, you will have splendid views of the valley below and the snow-capped peaks of the mountain. In the scenic area, visit the Museum of Dongba culture that you will reveal more about this special cultural governed by shamans. Descend into the valley to see the Temple of Jade Summit, which is one of the few lamaseries in the Valley of Lijiang. Created by the sect of the Red Caps, you'll be aware of the Naxi culture's influence and their appreciation of other religions. Stroll through the garden and see some of the multiple colours of camellias in the garden during the spring.

Last, discover the beautiful frescoes of the Baisha village. This village was the capital of the Naxi kingdom before the conquest of Kublai. Even today, a visit here is like you are walking through a town that is frozen in time, where the Naxi architecture is visible everywhere. Be sure to pass by the pavilion of Liuli and Dabaoji palace to admire the incomparable frescoes by the Naxi, Tibetan and Han painters. These murals are quite unique.

Day 11: Lijiang Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner are included. After 3-4 hours of driving, you will arrive at the famous Tiger Leaping Gorge. Choose from a multitude of steps or a peaceful path to reach the Tiger Leaping Gorge, in the heart of the turbulent Jinsha River. Here, the tiger's roar resounds in your ears. Then enjoy the excellent views of the entrance to the gorge and the water of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain flowing into the river.

Day 12: Lijiang Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner are included. Today, wander through the maze of alleyways of the old town of Lijiang. Amidst this unique picturesque site, you will plunge several centuries back. The traditional architectures blend beautifully with the splendid landscape, which consists of cobbled alleys interspersed by small channels, all with the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the background. In Lijiang, enter the Residence of the Mu family. See its reflection of how Naxi culture opens its doors to other peoples, such as the way that its new buildings are a mixture of Naxi architecture, Han, Tibetan and even Bai influences. Then ride to the Lion Hill to have a superb view over the rooftops of Lijiang old town.

Day 13: Lijiang Breakfast is included. Free until be transferred to the airport for the flight home or your next destination.
