Day 2: After breakfast at your hotel, depart for a 9:00 am Walking City tour of La Habana Vieja (Old Havana). With an architectural heritage spanning more than five centuries, you will experience a virtual time machine of styles and techniques. We will take a trip to the Museum of Rum and learn how rum has impacted the economy and food of Cuba. We will visit schools and learn firsthand about the recent restorations in Havana and the historical importance of many of the glorious buildings, many dating back to Colonial times. There are four major squares in Havana, which you will visit: Plaza Vieja, Plaza de la Catedral, Plaza de Armas, and Plaza San Francisco. Enjoy a light lunch at the El Patio Restaurant. In the evening, you will experience Havana's famous traditional Cannon Firing Ceremony with dinner included.

Day 3: After breakfast, we will take a tour to the Sierra del Rosario Nature Reserve. On arrival to the Rancho Curujey you will be given a welcome drink and orientation about the nature reserve project. You will visit the Buenavista Coffee Plantation, a hacienda from the 19th century that has been partially restored. We will head through the pueblo en Callejon de la Moka. Lunch will be included. We will go on a canopy adventure, a bird watching hike, to the El Taburete Hill, and on to the Soroa waterfall. You can even take a swim in the San Juan River. After the tour, return to Havana.

Day 4: After breakfast, check out of your hotel and depart for your Cienfuegos – Cienaga de Zapata Tour. On the way to Trinidad we will pass through the Cienfuegos Province and will have a Panoramic city tour, visiting the Palacio de Valle, and the Teatro Terry. We will continue to Giron Beach, the Museum, and the Crocodile farm nursery, with lunch at Punta Perdiz. We will then visit Trinidad and the Valley de los Ingenios. Founded in the early 16th century in honor of the Holy Trinity, the city was a bridgehead for the conquest of the American continent. Its 18th- and 19th- century buildings, such as the Palacio Brunet and the Palacio Cantero, were built in its days of prosperity from the sugar trade. On arrival to the town of Trinidad, we will visit the La Canchanchara Bar (the original version of the daiquiri made with rum, lime juice and honey is still the daiquiri of choice), the Main Plaza Mayor, and Casa de la Trova.

Day 5: After breakfast and check out, you will be picked up at 9:00 a.m. for a Panoramic tour on the way to Santa Clara. We will visit the Che Guevara Memorial and the Tren Blindado. We will also visit the Iznaga Tower. Lunch is included on the way at the Restaurant en los Caneyes.

Day 6: Have breakfast and then check out of the hotel to travel to Varadero. On the way we will visit the Fiesta Campesina farm where you will have lunch. After lunch and a short “people to people” visit, we will head on to Varadero.

Day 7: After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head back to Havana. On the way, we will have a Panoramic tour. We will make a stop on the way at the Bacunayagua Bridge linking the coastal resort region of Varadero with Havana. Located on a small hill, "El Mirador" (The Lookout) gives visitors the chance to enjoy, in all its magnitude, the Bacunayagua Bridge, which marks the traditional border between the provinces of Matanzas and Havana, both in western Cuba. According to experts, the bridge, which is listed among Cuba's seven wonders of civil engineering of all times, is 110 meters high and was built between 1956 and 1960. Upon arrival to Havana, we will travel the Hemingway Route - we will continue on to Las Terrazas de Cojimar, the fisherman’s bar that Ernest Hemingway wrote about in The Old Man and the Sea, to enjoy a “Don Gregorio” cocktail. Then we will see Finca Vigia, Hemingway's Cuba house. We will have lunch at La Terrazas. On arrival to Havana, check in to your hotel. In the evening, we will visit the world famous nightclub, the Tropicana Cabaret. You will enjoy watching the glittering spectacle at this beautiful outdoor theater known as “Paradise under the Stars.”

Day 8: Transfer out after breakfast to arrive at the airport four hours before your scheduled 1:45 pm flight back to Miami.

Airfare is included in the tour price.

Air is included from Miami.
