One of the more challenging Northern England's coast to coast routes, beginning in on the island of Walney - the southernmost point of Cumbria - to the mouth of the River Wear and Sunderland. There is also an optional finish in Whitby which also takes in the North Yorkshire Moors, and increases the tour to 179 miles.

Both tours are available to be booked for tours ranging from 2 days to 6 days, and all our tours are flexible, allowing you to choose when you start and to adjust the tour to your wishes, like adding in cycle free days or adding days at the beginning and end of your tour.

Each tour bed and breakfast in local cycling friendly accommodation, daily luggage transfers and transportation back to the start of the tour. We also offer bike and equipment rental.

The tour is a challenging and beautiful route passing through Cumbria, Yorkshire and Durham, and visiting such iconic places as Tan Hill Inn 'the highest pub and inn in England'! The scenery you pass through is second to none and it includes the dramatic landscapes of Lake District Peninsulas, South Cumbria's Low Fells and the Lune Gorge, the Orton Fells, the Eden Valley and North Pennines, and the beautiful city of Durham - the capital of the Land of the Prince Bishops - its stunning city centre, castle and cathedral.

The tour is mainly on quiet local roads as well as off road traffic free paths which make up around 14% of the tour.

Airfare is not included in the tour price.
