15 days Best of Uganda safari. Tour code ASTL 001.

Day 1: Arrival day. On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from us, who will later transfer you to a Hotel in Kampala for over night.

Day 2: Kampala – Murchison Falls. After early breakfast, travel North West of Kampala through Luwero triangle to the Murchison Falls National Park, having a brief stop at the Ziwa Rhino farm. To see the white Rhinos, this is the only farm in Uganda Rhinos became extinct in the early 1970s due to heavy poaching only few species of white Rhinos still remains. Lunch break in Masindi town. After lunch proceed to the top of the Murchison falls where the worlds longest river explodes violently through a narrow gorge falling a distance of 43 meters making a thunderous rain fall. Then proceed to the lodge for over night at either Para Safari Lodge, or Sambiya River Lodge, or Red Chilli Rest Camp.

Day 3: Murchison Falls. After breakfast, set off for an early morning game drive following the buligi track. Expect to see Lions, Leopards, Giraffes, Hyenas, Elephants, Buffalos, Uganda Kobs and a variety of bird species. Return for lunch at the lodge. After lunch go for a launch cruise on the Nile this activity takes 3 – 4 hours cruise. Expect to see Crocodiles, Hippos, Water bird species and Elephants quenching the afternoon thirst. Return to the lodge for over night.

Day 4: Murchison Falls – Kibale Forest Park. After breakfast, depart from Murchison falls for Kibale Forest National Park. Kibale forest Park contains one of the loveliest and most varied tracts of tropical forest in Uganda and is a home of 13 species of primates including chimpanzees. Over night at either Ndali Lodge a stunning location of the dramatic Crater Lake, Primate Lodge Kibale, or Crater Valley Lodge Kibale.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking. After early breakfast and briefing from the guide, enter the forest in search for chimpanzees. This activity starts at 8:00 am in the morning, expect to see Chimpanzees, Red tailed Monkeys, Colobus Monkeys, butter Flies, Bird species and a variety of tree species. Return late in the afternoon to lodge for relaxation. If time permits there is an option of visiting Bigodi Swamp.

Day 6: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National park. Depart from Kibale Forest Park and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a brief stop at the equator line for photos. Take a game drive on entering the park; expect to see Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffalos, Hyenas and species of Antelops. Dinner and Over night at either Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana Lodge, King Fisher Lodge or the Institute of Ecology Hostels.

Day 7: Game drive and Kazinga channel. After breakfast and briefing from the guide, set off for a game drive towards the Kobs mating grounds. Expect to see lions as they target to grab Kobs mating. Hyenas, Leopard, Elephants, Buffalos, Warthogs among others. Return to the lodge for lunch break. In the afternoon take a launch cruise at the Kazinga Channel where you will get chances of viewing Crocodiles, Hippos, Water bird species Elephants at the bunks of the waters. Over night at the lodge.

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Park. After breakfast, leave for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Park en route a game drive the Ishasha sector. The sector is well known for tree climbing Lions. Relax over a drink at the camp before setting off to Bwindi. Overnight at either Mantana Tented Camp, Gorilla Resort Bwindi or Buhoma Home Stead Community.

Day 9: Gorilla tracking. After breakfast and briefing from the guide, set off for Gorilla tracking in the Impenetrable forest. Tracking may take 2 to 8 hours depending on the location of the Gorillas; one may walk a short or long distance. After seeing the Gorillas return to the Camp for relaxation and overnight at the lodge.

Day 10: Bwindi – Lake Bunyoyi (Kabale). Depart from Bwindi after an early breakfast, and leave for Lake Bunyoyi arrive in time for lunch. After lunch relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Kabale the Switzerland of Uganda. Overnight at either Bunyonyi Safari Resort or the White Horse Inn.

Day 11: Lake Bunyonyi environs. After breakfast, you may choose among various activities with a possibility of carrying packed lunch. Such as bird watching, swimming, Hill climbing, Boat rides, Sight seeing etc. Return to the lodge for overnight.

Day 12: Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo National park. After breakfast, leave for Lake Mburo National Park driving through the terraced hills of Kabale (the Switzerland of Uganda). Lunch break in Mbarara town. After lunch visit the Ankole Ranch scheme, before setting off to Lake Mburo National park. Overnight at either Mihingo Lodge or Rwonyo Tented Camp.

Day 13: Lake Mburo – Kampala. After breakfast, go for a boat ride on the lake Mburo expecting to see hippos, Crocodiles, and water Bird species. Return to the lodge for a cup of coffee take game drive as you leave the Park and heading to Kampala. Overnight at Grand Imperial Hotel, Capital Palace Hotel or Hotel Bougainvillea.

Day 14: Kampala – Jinja. After breakfast, leave for Jinja en route visit the Sezibwa falls, Mabira Forest Ecotourism Site. Lunch in Jinja town in afternoon you will visit the source of river Nile and Bujjagali Falls. Return to Kampala late in the evening for over night.

Day 15: Departure day. After breakfast and check out at the Hotel, and depending on your flight departure times transfer to Entebbe Airport to later catch your flight back home.
