This holiday trip starts and ends in historic Kathmandu valley. It offers an opportunity to explore some of the world’s most important Hindu temples and palaces that are important historically, culturally and archaeologically. One can enjoy shopping in the maze of cobbled lanes and streets of the fabled Thamel area. You will be taken to the high Khumbu region with the direct flight. It is the fantastic trekking route with the spectacular views of many high mountain peaks including Mt Everest. The Everest Luxury Lodge Trek takes to Lukla in a small aircraft. And reach the bustling Namche Bazaar. It was, and still it is, the high mountain market for traders from Tibet and Nepal for many hundreds of years. We follow the footsteps of some greatest mountaineers along the traditional expedition route. Generally we trek in the morning with our experienced local guides and reach Yeti Mountain Home. It offers plenty of time to relax and explore the local.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu. Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu. Traditional welcome by our airport representative. Your guide briefs about your further programme. Typical Nepali dinner served in the evening.

Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing. You will be taken for sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley to explore the vibrant city after breakfast at your hotel. Drive to famous Buddhist Stupa Swayambunath, also known as Monkey temple, on the hill of Kathmandu Valley where you can see stunning view of mountains and Kathmandu valley. This temple attracts Buddhists and tourists from around the world. Swayambhunath Stupa is the most ancient and enigmatic of all the holy shrines in Kathmandu valley. Its lofty white dome and glittering golden spire are visible from far and wide. Next is Pashupatinath, the temple of Lord Shiva. This is probably the most famous temple for Hindu in Indian Sub-continent. There is crematorium beside the temple where dead bodies are burnt to ashes. After exploring Pashupatinath you will visit fascinating sights of Patan Durbar Square, one of the most glorious examples of traditional Nepalese architecture, full of centuries old temples and palaces.

Day 3: Fly to Lukla (2,845 m) & trek to Phakding. You will take stunning flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. You will meet with the trekking crew upon arrival. Following a short tea break you will trek northwards up to the valley of Dudhkoshi. Descend from the small plateau into the forested valley. The trek is very easy and short today. However, the difference in altitude, in comparison with Kathmandu, can make you feel a bit difficult. After lunch you trek north towards Phakding. The trail crosses several streams and you finally reach to Phakding (2650 m). You will spend your first night in this settlement from where you will have tantalizing views.

Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazar. Hike to Namche Bazaar through farmland and settlements. You will follow the Dudh Kosi northwards. This day's walk takes you through magnificent forests of rhododendron, giant fir and magnolia trees. You will cross the west fork of the river, the Bhote Kosi, and start the steep climb to Namche Bazaar. Namche is the largest Sherpa village which is called as Gateway to Mount Everest. Namche is a prosperous Sherpa village and an important trading center as well. Locals from various villages gather during the weekly bazaar and sell fresh foodstuffs.

Day 5: Acclimatization day/explore around Thamo or Synboche. You will take a rest day in Namcha and explore the village Thamo or synboche. Make fit yourself for the further journey. This day is for acclimatization. Physiologically prepare yourself for adaptation to changes in climate or environment. We recommend you to stay active even in a rest day as it is better than being idle while on a trekking journey.

Day 6: Trek to Thame (3800 m). Around 5 hours trekking. Today’s trek begins soon after breakfast. You will leave Namcha Bazar early for Thame. Thame is the settlement where most of the famous Sherpa climbers and mountaineers were born. It is the largest village in the valley and better known as the home of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa—the first Sherpa to climb Mt Everest with Sir Edmund Hillary in 1953. Appa Sherpa, a record holder for climbing the highest peak of the world for 21 times, was also born in this village. You will interact with the local Sherpa people and know about their tradition and culture. You will spend time exploring the village and its spectacular monastery. Overnight in Yeti Mountain Home, Thame.

Day 7: Thame day hike. Today is to explore Thame. It is an outstanding trek. You will visit the Khumbu valley and explore the surroundings and monasteries. One will be elated with the incredible hospitality of the local Sherpa community during the visit. The day will be spent exploring the rich valley. You will hike to a small peak or spend your day exploring the surrounding. After that interact with the locals about their traditions and culture. Get chance to meet local Sherpa artists and hear the inspiring story from the mountaineering. Overnight at Yeti Mountain Home Thame.

Day 8: Namche Bazaar (3440 m). Today you retrace to Namche Bazaar through the village of Thamo. You pass through the pine forests and finally reach Namche in the afternoon. You can have lunch on the way. Rest of the day is free. You can have souvenir shopping or engaged in any activities you like. Overnight Yeti Mountain Home, Namche.

Day 9: Trek to Monjo (2850 m). Taday’s trek is to Monjo from Namche. You will leave Khumjung passing through a school founded by Sir Edmund Hillary. You will climb up the the hill from where you will have great views of Namche from above. As you descend the landscape becomes greener with bushes and trees. Beautiful waterfalls and streams are common as you climb down.Overnight at Yeti Mountain Home, Monjo.

Day 10: Trek to Lukla (2850 m) 3-4 hrs trekking. Retrace the way alongside the Dudh Koshi River to the small town of Lukla. You’ll have a long and leisurely trek back to Lukla. You can explore the area if you like or just rest for the day.

Day 11: Fly back to Kathmandu. Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu, Enjoy panoramic mountain views and spend the rest of the day sightseeing, exploring, shopping or just relaxing in Kathmandu’s numerous cafés and roof-top restaurants before spending the evening celebrating your achievements!

Day 12: Day at leisure/ reserve day in case of flight cancel/Hotel. It’s a leisure time in Kathmandu, where the rest of the day is free for shopping, sightseeing or relaxing. This is an extra day in case of bad weather. Free time to explore Kathmandu before transferring to the airport for flight back.

Day 13: Drive to Airport for Return flight. Your final day in Kathmandu is a free day to you to do as you choose. Many people take the time to shop, others enjoy exploring the cultural side of the city. Our local guide can advise you on the best shops in the area. Final Farewells! Our airport representative will travel with you to the airport.
