Day 1: JKIA-Nairobi.
Arrival of your flight at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. You will be met by our representatives where briefing will be done then transfer to Tamarind Tree Hotel for overnight on bed and breakfast meal plan.
Day 2: Nairobi-Nakuru.
Breakfast and check out. The day starts by heading to Lake Nakuru National Park which is a three hours’ drive from Nairobi. Arrive for lunch at The Water Buck Hotel then head for an afternoon game drive at the park. Lake Nakuru National Park is one of Kenya’s two Premium Parks, and is a bird lover’s paradise. It surrounds Lake Nakuru, located in the Central Rift Conservation Area in the Southern Rift Valley region of Kenya. Originally protected as a bird sanctuary, this park hosts over 400 bird species, including 5 globally threatened species, and is an important stop on the African-Eurasian Migratory Flyway. This park was also the first national Rhino sanctuary and hosts one of the world’s highest concentrations of the Black Rhinoceros. Dinner is served and overnight spent at the hotel.
Day 3: Nakuru-Lake Bogoria.
Breakfast and check out. Drive to Lake Bogoria National Reserve with packed lunch. Lake Bogoria is one of Rift Valley Lakes. Each of these lakes is unique and Lake Bogoria is not an exception. This lake is alkaline - with pH 10.5 at the western bank. Lake water is twice as saline as seawater. Lake gets water only from the hot springs and some perennial rivers and it has no outlet. Be sure to get some eggs before you enter the gate, so that you can boil them at the hot springs. Later in the late afternoon/evening drive back to Nakuru at Hotel Water Buck for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Nakuru–Masai Mara.
Breakfast and check out. Drive to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Its main attraction is the ’Great Migration’ – one of the natural wonders of the world – is a gloriously beautiful, wildlife-rich savannah landscape. 'It’s also a region where traditionally dressed Maasai still herd their cattle and goats in a lifestyle that in some respects hasn’t changed much since they first arrived here 350 years ago. On the short-grass savannahs of the Mara River basin, between the Loita Hills in the east and the Oloololo Escarpment in the west, hundreds of big-manned lions, large numbers of cheetah and leopards, spotted hyenas and jackals, some 1,500 elephants, tens of thousands of antelope of more than a dozen species from the tiny dik-dik to the huge eland, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, herds of buffalo, Maasai giraffe, and migratory Burch ell’s zebras and wildebeest in their hundreds of thousands make the region a magnet for safaris of every stripe. Arrive in good time for lunch at Mara Sopa Lodge. In the afternoon do a game drive in the reserve then late evening you check in for dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day 5-6: Masai Mara.
Breakfast is served. You will have the choice to do a morning and afternoon game drive/ full day game drives with packed lunches. All meals are served and overnight spent at the lodge.
Day 07: Mara-Naivasha.
Breakfast is served and then check out. Depart for Naivasha arriving for lunch at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort. In the afternoon after lunch head to Hells Gate National Park. Hell's Gate National Park is named after a narrow break in the cliffs, once a tributary of a prehistoric lake that fed early humans in the Rift Valley. Hells gate is also referred to as “A Walk on the Wild Side”. Spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam make it one of the most atmospheric Parks in Africa. In the evening head back to the resort for dinner and overnight.
Day 08: Naivasha–Nairobi.
Breakfast and check out. Head to the Crescent Island game sanctuary. The Island’s terrain is flat, making it easy for walkers of all abilities to enjoy themselves. There is a lot of easy to see game e.g. giraffes, waterbucks, elands, wildebeests, zebras and impalas. It is also a heaven for birds with +200 species recorded.
