During the five cycling days you will have a chance to discover one of the most beautiful parts of the Czech Republic. The area surrounding Trebon is registered on the UNESCO Biosphere Reservation Heritage List. Trebon is also known as a spa resort and you can improve the tour program with relaxing procedures during the stay there.
The landscape is interlaced with a lot artificial ponds and small lakes created in 16th century. Beside the beautiful landscape and nature sceneries, you will have the opportunity to discover historical heritage of South Bohemia. You will see castles and chateaus in Jindrichuv Hradec, Cervena Lhota, Trebon and Nove Hrady (optional tours).
The tour is very easy; there is no reason to rush. This programme and itinerary is designed as a gentle ride with a balance of cycling and sightseeing. Take it easy; take your time or even the support vehicle. It is holiday after all!
You will spend the last two days of your trip in Prague, the most famous Central European city. You will have enough time to explore this fascinating, lively city full of culture and history. You will receive a brochure with detailed information about all sights on your journey at the welcome briefing.
Day 0: Arrival in Prague, transfer from the airport to the hotel, accommodation before the tour for one or two nights. (These services are not included in the tour price but they are strongly recommended for overseas clients because pre-tour stay in Prague will help them to overcome jetlag and will give them an opportunity to get accommodated to the Czech Republic).
Day 1: Fully Guided and Guide-Led tours start on the scheduled day usually before noon. Self-Led tours and non-scheduled tours start upon clients’ request on any day from April until the end of October.
Welcome briefing, transfer Prague – Jindrichuv Hradec (150 km = 93 miles by our company's shuttle bus). Check-in at the hotel in Jindrichuv Hradec, where you will stay for two nights. Welcome briefing, sightseeing in Jindrichuv Hradec, optional excursion of the castle. Free time in the afternoon is ideal for a walk through Jindrichuv Hradec and for exploring its amazing town square, church, shopping streets, etc.
Day 2: Bike ride to Cervena Lhota and back to Jindrichuv Hradec (41 km = 26 miles by bike). Adjusting bicycles to match to cyclists` bodies, practical biking safety training (at guided tours only), bicycle training.
The target of the day is one of the most romantic chateaus of the Czech Republic, which many film crews used to film fairy-tales. Lunch on the way. Arrival back to Jindrichuv Hradec in the afternoon.
Day 3: Bike ride Jindrichuv Hradec - Trebon (32 km = 20 miles by bike). We will say our farewell to Jindrichuv Hradec, pack our luggage and ride to our next destination. An easy route will take us through a scenic landscape with a lot of ponds and several typical, quiet South-Bohemian villages.
We will arrive to our destination, Trebon, a splendid Renaissance town known also as a spa resort. Lunch on the way. Check-in at the hotel, where we will stay for the next three nights. Free evening for sightseeing of Trebon.
Day 4: Bike ride (circle) to Suchdol nad Luznici and back to Trebon (43 km = 27 miles ). Morning optional visit of the Trebon castle. Gentle ride along lakes and the Luznice River. Lunch on the way. After return to Trebon, we can arrange relaxing procedures in the local spa for you.
Day 5: Bike ride (circle) to Chlum and back to Trebon. (49 km = 31 miles). Free time in the afternoon (early return from the trip) can be dedicated to any kind of activity or leisure time offer of Trebon: Renaissance chateau excursion, excursion to the local Regent brewery from the 13th century, visit of the Schwarzenberg Tomb, shopping in cosy small shops at Trebon Square, swimming in the 2nd largest pond in the Czech Republic, bowling, tennis, etc.
Day 6: Bike ride Trebon – Ceske Budejovice (32 km = 20 miles by bike). We will pack our luggage after the breakfast. Gentle ride will take us through a countryside and we will pass several small villages. The planned arrival to South Bohemian capital, Ceske Budejovice, a town with biggest square in Bohemia and the well-known Budweisser brewery. Lunch in the town, departure to Prague by support vehicle in the late afternoon. Arrival to Prague, check-in at the hotel.
Day 7: Walking tour of Prague (guided tours only), shopping, sightseeing, free time in Prague.
Day 8: Breakfast, transfer to the Prague airport to catch your plane, unless you decide to prolong your holiday in the Czech Republic. Visits to the above stated sites and appropriate daily bike trips are guaranteed.
