Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: A bilingual guide will pick you up and transfer you from the Airport to the Hotel. The guide will be able to assist you in anything you should need. Overnight in Hamptonn Inn.

Day 2: Guayaquil – Machalilla National Park. Drive through the Route of the Sun to Machalilla National Park. Visit the Salango and Amantes de Sumpa Museums on the way. On this day you will enjoy the picturesque fishermen towns and have closer contact with its culture. This trip will also expose the productive, rich earth of the coast. Overnight in Mantaraya Lodge. Includes: (B), (D).

Day 3: Isla de la Plata. Full day tour of Isla de la Plata where due to the route of the cold Humboldt sea current coming from Antarctica and going towards the archipelago, you can find animal species normally found in the Galapagos Islands. Here you can find bird species such as Blue and Red Footed Boobies, Sea Lions and many more. A Lunch Box will be served. Overnight in Mantaraya Lodge. Includes: (B), (D).

Day 4: Los Fraile Beach – Agua Blanca. After breakfast go to Los Frailes beach. This is a beautiful place that belongs to Machalilla National Park. You can spend the morning at the beach and in the afternoon visit the Community Agua Blanca and the museum. At this place, you will learn about the millennium cultures of the region. Overnight at Mantaraya Lodge. Includes: (B), (D).

Day 5: Puerto López – Guayaquil. Drive back to Guayaquil and in the afternoon enjoy a panoramic city tour. The city tour of Guayaquil takes place at the downtown where we can have a nice overview of the old city by visiting Las Peñas Neighborhood, located at the slopes of Santa Ana Hill. From here it is possible to enjoy a nice view of the modern Malecon 2000, located at the shores of Guayas River, as well as an example of original architecture in Guayaquil. At the Malecon we will visit La Rotonda, an important monument that immortalizes the meeting between Simon Bolivar and San Martin, The Moorish Clock Tower and many other attractive sightseeing. Afterwards, walk at the old town through 9 de Octubre Avenue, to visit the Seminario Park well known also as the Iguanas Park and the Centenario Park, where the main monument represents the Independence of Guayaquil and the leaders that took part of it. Overnight in Hotel Hampton. Includes: (B), (D).

Day 6: Cajas National Park – Cuenca. After breakfast drive to Cuenca through the spectacular Cajas roads. This adventure begins at sea level, where the agriculture of the coast plays an important role in the landscape and after four hours of driving you will be delighted with the change of altitude and landscape. The road reaches 4,000 meters of altitude and is surrounded by a beautiful Paramo landscape, full of lakes. Overnight in Hotel Victoria. Includes: (B), (D).

Day 7: City tour in Cuenca. After breakfast enjoy a city tour of Cuenca. You begin with a view from El Turi Hill of this beautiful Colonial Style city, declared by the UNESCO as a World Heritage of Mankind. Afterwards, continue towards the downtown, where during a short walk, we will visit the Old and the New Cathedrals, the flowers market, where you can appreciate the different kind of flowers that grow on this region, the Rotary market where you can find many different handycrafts. Afterwards, visit a factory of the famous Panama hat. We will finish this city tour by enjoying the beautiful landscape that offers Tomebamba River, the one that divides modern city and Old city. Overnight Hotel Victoria in Cuenca.

Day 8: Cuenca - Ingapirca – Chimborazo. After breakfast drive to Ingapirca Ruins where a walk through this place will take you back to the past and you’ll feel as though you belonged to this culture. Afterwards drive towards Chimborazo Reserve where you will enjoy a nice trip passing through rural areas. At the Chimborazo Reserve you can see Llamas and Vicuñas on the road. Drive up to 4,800 meters above the sea level and hike up to the Refuge at 5,000 meters or just take your time to enjoy the impressive landscape at this altitude. Arrive in Riobamba. Overnight in Hosteria el Troje.

Day 9: Riobamba - Baños Full day. After breakfast drive to Baños and enjoy a visit to the Baños waterfalls such as “Manto de la Novia”, “Pailon del Diablo” and “Ines Maria”. Taste the local juice of sugar cane and melcochas. In the afternoon drive further to Riobamba. Visit an indian Market on the way. Overnight in Hotel Sangay. Includes: (B), (D).

Day 10: Baños - Cotopaxi National Park. Drive along the Panamericana highway well known as “The Volcanoes Avenue” towards the world’s highest active volcano, Cotopaxi (5,897 meters). Drive on a third order road through a Pine forest to Limpiopungo Lake located 3,800 meters above sea level along the slopes of the magnificent Cotopaxi Volcano. If you wish, you can drive further to the parking lot located at 4,500 meters in order to hike up to the Refuge at 4,800 meters. (Good health condition is required in order to hike). Overnight at Cotopaxi Province. Hotel Cuello de Luna. Includes: (B), (D).

Day 11: Cotopaxi - Quilotoa – Quito. Early in the morning drive to Quilotoa Crater Lake. Enjoy the picturesque landscape with the agricultural communities and a market on the way. This lake was formed in the crater of a Volcano, which gives an impressive view. In the afternoon drive to Quito. Overnight at Hostal Sierra Madre in Quito. Includes: (B), (D).

Day 12: Colonial City Tour + Middle of the World. The tour begins with a great view of Orellana’s way and Guapulo Sanctuary (XVII Century) Later see the stone carved façade of Ecuador’s House of Congress. Afterwards, walk in the old city visiting the Independence Square, which is surrounded by historically important buildings. Visit the Cathedral (XVI Century), Presidential Palace, El Sagrario Church (XVII Century), and one of the most beautiful baroque churches in South America, La Compañía de Jesus (XVII Century). The Church of San Francisco and Monastery were built a few months after the Spaniards arrival (XVI Century).

Drive up to Panecillo Hill where the Virgin of Quito, (the only winged virgin) is located. From this perspective you will be delighted by the spectacular view of Colonial Quito mainly. Afterwards, visit the Middle of the World located 15 Km to the north of Quito. Here the Equator Line divides the Northern and Southern Hemisphere. Inside the Monument visit the Ethnographic Museum where Ecuador’s Ethnic diversity is shown. Overnight in Hotel Sierra Madre. Includes: (B), (D).

Day 13: Quito – Jungle. After breakfast, take the flight for the beginning of your jungle Program. Transfer from Hotel to the Airport. Overnight at Cuyabeno Lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Days 14–16: Full days Jungle Programs. Enjoy at least 2 hikes per day. The hike and the time vary according to your physical conditions and interests. You will learn more about trees and plants many of which are used for medicinal purposes. This hike will also offer the opportunity to watch different animal species such as butterflies, and birds including macaws, toucans, parrots and owls. There are also monkeys, tapirs and agoutis. Visit a local community, navigate the canoes to enjoy the landscape, climb to the top of an observation tower for bird watching, swim at the river or fish for piranhas. (Cuyabeno Lodge). Day 17: Jungle – Quito. After breakfast, take a morning departure for the trip up river in order to fly back to Quito. Transfer from Airport to Hotel. Overnight in Hostal Sierra Madre. Includes: (B), (D).

Day 18: Transfer out to Galapagos Program. The guide will pick you up in order to transfer you from the Hotel to the Airport for your flight to Galapagos Island. Includes: (B), (D).

Days 19-21: Cruise at the Galapagos Islands. 8 days/ 7 nights Cruise aboard Sulidae Sailing boat. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 22: Transfer in Quito. The guide will pick you up in order to transfer you from the Hotel to the Airport. Overnight in Hostal Sierra Madre. Includes: (D).

Day 23: Transfer out international. Transfer to the airport for your international flight. Includes: (B).
