Discover rural Ghana in its colorfulness on this 13-day tour. Visit the local villages and natural reserves. Learn about Ghanaian arts and crafts and bring back home tonnes of good memories.

Day 1: Arrival at the Kotoka International Airport. Then to the hotel for the night where guests will be welcomed with a tropical cocktail.

Day 2: Travel to Aburi Botanical Gardens, relax and experience the large amount of indigenous plants/flora. Visit the wood carvers of the mountains for viewing and possible purchasing.

Day 3: Visit the Akosombo Dam the largest manmade dam in the world with a possible boat cruise on the Volta Lake. A visit to the Banana plantation of the region can be followed by a visit to the SOS Children’s village of Tema.

Days 4-5: Travel to Cape Coast (capital of the Central Region) with visits to several fishing villages en route. Visits to the 16th century Castles and salve dungeons declared World Heritage monuments by the UNESCO. Experience the canopy walk of the Kakum National Park (360 square Kilometers of the natural rainforest and home to many rare birds, butterflies and man).

Day 6: A visit to Kumasi will include the craft villages where traditional craftsmen apply their skills and talents. The Owabi Bird Sanctuary, which abounds with birds and butterflies is a place worth visiting once in this region. There will also be a visit to Bodire forest Reserve, which covers approximately square Kilometers. This game reserve is superb for photography.

Days 7-8: We shall forge ahead through the Brong-Ahafo Region on the way to the north with visits to the Kintampo falls and Mole National Park which is the largest national park in Ghana, home to large of elephants, bucks and monkeys.

Days 9-10: Head back south, while enjoying the beautiful countryside along the way. We shall change route and pass through the Nkwanta to Ada Foah, where the Volta Lake meets the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 11: Return to Accra and visit the Center for National Culture, the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum then spend the rest of the afternoon at one of our numerous sandy beaches.

Day 12: Last minute shopping for souvenirs and last night pre-departure party.

Day 13: Departure from Ghana with the superb memories.
